I went into eye associates 3 years ago for the first time because I knew I needed glasses or contacts because my vision was getting blurry. After an exam, they advised me that I would benefit from a pair of glasses. I figured this would be the case so I asked for contacts instead.

Dr. John W. Weihe insisted that I would be better suited with a pair of glasses . I disagreed with him saying that with my lifestyle, I would never wear them (I am too active), I would rather squint. He kept arguing with me and I just went with the glasses.

After 2 years, I wore the glasses a total of 5 times. I went back to get a pair of contacts that I wanted in the first place. John started an examination where he kept poking my eyes (I understand this is part of the exam), I was flinching a bit and he said, “You’re awfully flinchy.” I replied, “Yeah, I don’t like people poking my eyes.” John replied sarcastically, “And you want contacts!?” I said, “Yeah, I can get used to them.” John nodded his head like I was an idiot and gave me contacts against his will.

Just as I figured, I adapted just fine to contacts (I wear them every day), but I couldn’t see close up with them. I went to another eye doctor and he said that I was misdiagnosed. He gave me contacts that actually worked and I could see just fine with.

Bottom line is that Dr. John W. Weihe is a prick that won’t listen to you and will treat you like you are an idiot, and then when he does give you what you actually want, it will be wrong. Don’t make the mistake of giving him your money.
