Electrolysis was created by an ophthalmologist, Dr. Charles E. Michel, in 1875. My mother, Barbara Johnson, started our business in 1948. I became a Board Certified Electrologist in 1986, Elizabeth Johnson, CPE. The permanent way to remove all types of hair is Electrolysis. It remains the "Gold Standard."
