We were celebrating our 49th anniversary August 16, chose Cafe on the Green because it is a wonderful place to dine - except when the AC is not operating and it is hotter in the dining room than the kitchen! Sorry, sorry. Not an offer of a cold drink, dessert, etc. Needless to say, we will NOT be celebrating our 50th there.

Will recomend this restaurant to all my friends. One of the nicest experience I've ever had. I can't believe such a restaurant exists in Danbury.

Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name is exactly the feeling I have when selecting my favorite place Cafe on the Green. I tend to frequent this restaurant on a regular basis, and only those establishments where the staff takes the time to remember the names and preferences of their frequent customers. I enjoy knowing the owner, the greeter, and the wait staff and always take the time to inquire about business, family, etc. They do the same and, for me, it creates an atmosphere of warmth and continuity that encourages me to come more often, stay longer, and bring good friends. It seems like a small thing, but in todays hectic and sometimes faceless and spiritless dining environments, this simple kindness goes a very long way. Thank you Cafe on the Green

Great restaurant and great food. The wait staff rivals a 5-star NYC restaurant. A must for locals and visitors. This is our new favorite fine dining spot in Danbury. We're sorry we didn't try it sooner.
