General Info

Dr. Sarkisian is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology. As an undergraduate student at Michigan he worked in dental research at the University of Michigan Dental School under Dr. Walter Loesche. He went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. Entering private practice in Dearborn, Dr. Sarkisian also became a member of the Active Staff of Harper Grace Hospital in the Detroit Medical Center where he served for eight years as a Clinical Instructor in the ENT department of the Wayne State University Medical School. He worked in the Harper Hospital Dental Department under his mentor (and future partner in practice) Dr. Aris Hoplamazian, who among his many distinguished accomplishments was the Chief of Dentistry in the Medical Center as well as President of the State of Michigan Board of Dentistry for several years. Since graduation Dr. Sarkisian has always been active in the dental profession. He has served on committees with the Detroit District Dental Society including Peer Review / Ethics (Chairman 6 years), Michigan Dental Association Committee on Peer Review/ Ethics (2015 - current), Strategic Planning and as a Delegate to the Michigan Dental Association Annual meeting. Dr. Sarkisian regularly takes many hours of continuing education classes to stay abreast of the latest advances in dentistry. He has been a member for many years (serving two terms as President) of the Detroit Dental Clinics Club - one of the oldest (established in 1914) and most respected dental study clubs in the United States. He remains on their Board of Governors as the Editor of the Clinic Club Newsletter. His practice reflects a special interest in comprehensive restorative dental care with an emphasis on preventive dentistry, cosmetics and implants. Dr. Sarkisian has also received additional training in dental sleep appliances to treat sleep apnea.
