I took my dog there several years after she had her first seizure. It was a Sunday afternoon around five p.m. I called my regular vet who insisted I give her my credit card number over the phone. I had been going to her for 25 years with various pets. I put my beloved dog in the car and headed to All Species. What a wonderful surprise!! They ran blood workup and several other tests. It was determined that Chloe had idiopathic epilepsy. We decided how to treat her and she now is under their care. Chloe has gone blind which is common in older dogs, she has epilepsy, and minor back issues. I take her to All Species three days a week where they give her laser treatments at NO charge. I love the girls that are there and I just can't say enough good things about Dr. Innocent. He is wonderful and so is his staff!!

Should NEVER have taken my dog here!

I took my dog here because she had been throwing up. After paying well over $1000 to keep my dog overnight and give her IV fluids, she was in such terrible shape by the morning we had to put her down. Turns out the IV was not actually in her paw, she was dehydrated and in terrible shape. Then they botched the euthanasia process - my dog squealed in pain and then WAS NOT DEAD!

It was a horrible experience. Nothing anyone could do could bring my dog back, but I spoke with Dr. Innocent about what I felt was gross overcharging for services my pet did not receive and were botched - he said he would "check into what happened" and try to make it right. I never heard another word! After checking more online, I read terrible accounts similar to what happened to my sweet dog. I can't go back, but I can try to keep someone else from losing their precious pet by posting my experience. Please do the research before you take your pet here! It was the worst mistake I've ever made and I still miss my dog!!!! Botched from start to finish!!! I'm only giving one star because I have to to review!

I have extremely mixed reviews...

I have extremely mixed reviews about this animal hospital. On the one hand, I am thankful they were there and able to see my cat at 1:00 in the morning. Without them, I wouldn't have known my cat had a UTI. The girl who tended to us until the doctor arrived was very sweet, and you could tell she works hard and loves animals. Her name escapes me, but I wish her all the success in the world. I am mixed on this review because:

When the doctor arrived (1.5 hours later), he told me my cat was jaundiced (he wasn't, he just has yellow eyes), attempted to remove a crystal that was allegedly blocking his urethra, and recommended costly bloodwork (which I agreed to) to see if my cat was in renal failure. All the while he's telling me that I'd need to leave my cat there for three days, allow them to run tests, put him under anesthesia, perform surgery in which they'd have to essentially filet him like a fish and "clear him out," all to the tune of $1930. Oh yeah, and he could die if they put him under (due to his age).

Naturally, I had a full scale mental and emotional breakdown and started calling everyone I know trying to find the money to save my cat's life. Meanwhile, my cat is just chilling--In my purse. Once I gathered myself, I realized that I would not be able to afford it, and told the doctor I'm taking him home and if it's his time, it's his time, but I'm not going to allow him to slice and dice him only to have him die anyway. That's just crazytown.

The good doctor then offered to, at the least, drain his bladder so he'd be comfortable. I agreed to this, and when I went to lift my cat out of my purse, he was soaking wet. By some miracle, my cat opened the floodgates and peed in my purse. I've never been happier to have a pissy purse! The good doctor was 'elated' and said they must have moved the crystal out of the way and allowed him to pee. Riiiiiight.....

I say all this to say, had I had the money, and had I left my cat there, I'm certain he would be dead today. The anesthesia, not the UTI, would have killed him for sure. The doctor seemed accustomed to this happening, like he kills pets regularly or something. And for the record, we are now 3 days out, he's eating normally and using the restroom, normally. He is perfectly healthy and fine. I am so thankful to God I DIDN'T have the money to leave him behind. I am happy they were there for us when we needed them, but I don't trust his judgement at all and will never take my cat there again.

**If you are reading this and if time permits, do not allow your emotions over your beloved pet cloud your judgement! Do your research and find out if your pet really needs what this doctor is recommending. You may be putting your pet at an unnecessary risk if you don't!**

The visit to this animal care facility was very upsetting. I don’t trust the information given and I don’t believe he has a heart. I put our agreement into the paperwork I signed and the doctor disputed the signed agreement. Good luck to anyone using this facility.

I have four dogs, three bearded dragons, and five snake. Dr. Innocent has been my family veterinarian for over 14 years now and I have never been disappointed by the service, advise, or medical treatment given to my pets. I highly recommend this animal clinic. My dogs have had emergencies such as bladder stone removal surgery and neck injuries which Dr. Innocent did a profound job at all tasked needed to save my pets life and provide them with speedy recoveries and longevity.

Thank you the all the workers and volunteers at 24 HOUR ALL SPECIES ANIMAL HOSPITAL

I had found a stray kitten in a drainage pipe and brought her in to get checked up and ready for a new home. Immediately i was charged with the $95.00 emergency visit fee. Cool. Whatever. They placed me in one of the exam rooms and I had to wait at least 20 minutes before the doctor came in. I WAS THE ONLY ONE THERE!! After he ran the quickest exam I've ever seen, he told me that she should be checked for feline leukemia and parasites. Quotes me on it, gave me a 10% discount because she was a stray, and proceeded with the test. After she came up clean for everything, Dr. Innocent told me that she had a slight cold and would need antibiotics. I agreed and paid for those, too. Next came the vaccination. This is where it becomes tragic. I had entered the kitten in as 3 weeks old (my best guess at her age). The following week, she began having seizures and eventually died from them. When i consulted another Vet about these incidents, I was told that the kitten was too young to have those vaccines given to her and caused these seizures to occur; and the only reason she was given them was because they could get my money for it. In essence, I paid $300 for this man to kill my kitten. DO NO GO HERE!! They literally will do and say anything to get your money up front and let you deal with the consequences later.

On July 3rd, 2013 at approximately 10:20 pm. I witnessed 2 medium sized dogs get hit by a car on singleton road. I thought that the dogs were dead so I decided to atleast move their bodies on the side walk so that they don't keep getting run over. As I walked over there, I was in shock, both dogs were still alive. I moved them quickly, I almost got hit by a car, but I was too shocked to care. Once I moved them, I noticed that one was bleeding from nose and mouth, and the other the same. I called my husband (we live down the street) he came and picked us up; after about 10 minutes one of the dogs did not make it. I am new to the area so I was unsure about a 24 hour vet, but I googled the nearest and found All Species 24 Hour Animal Hospital. I called and informed them that I witnessed 2 strays being hit but they needed help. The first thing the receptionist said was you have to pay for them to be examined, so I said that is fine. We went over there, we put the dog that was still striving for life on the table, all Dr. Innocent did was listen to his heart, and looked at him and he charged us $95.00, then he said it was going to charge $500.00 for the x-rays and tests, I told him that was fine, but we didn't have money but we can pay some and we will pay the rest the next day, he declined saying that he needed to full amount. Does this man have no heart? it was 10:20 pm this dog is in excruciating pain, and he needed the full amount. I was shocked. The dog started to have breathing problems, and I was asking him what are the chances and what does he recommend we do. All he replied was 'I don't know' So I contact another 24 hour vet and she did informed me that blood from the nose and mouth, can indicate that blood isn't circulating to his brain so he would not last much longer. So, my husband and I after comforting the dog, telling him he will no longer suffer, that we can put him down. As I was crying I asked Dr. Innocent, and all he told me was that was going to be $110.00 do you want to cremate him? I was so angry and furious with him. After spending $95.00 and not having my purse on me, we didn't have enough, he still declined. So I contacted the other 24 hour vet and they told me to bring him in, they informed me that if I bring him in as a stray then they would take care of him. So as we headed them, I am in the back seat comforting him, and crying telling him I am sorry that I wish I could do anything to relieve his pain. As soon as we got there, they took him to the back, there were about 6 couples there looking at us, probably because I was crying my eyes out. The vet tech came out and said the doctor informed her that his condition isn't looking so well, so we have to put him down. And I said if that is for the best and he will be pain free and crossing the rainbow bridge with his other companion then I tearfully said okay. As soon as we were about to walk out a wonderful lady came straight up to us and told us she is willing to pay all his medical expense as long as I can give him a wonderful home, at that moment, I had this feeling of joy, as soon as we went to speak with the vet tech, she came out and informed us that he had crossed over, and is now painless. We hugged and I thanked her for everything she had done by saying those amazing words. Then me and my husband left. As we drove home, I had a feeling in my heart that he and his companion were in a better place, chasing each other, and playing with other furry friends. I apologize for this being so long, but this was a incident that I want to make sure that everybody knows how cruel Dr. Innocent is. I myself have 3 dogs, and I will make sure to informed all dog lovers out there NEVER to go to him, he has no heart. Thank you.

They hide all the prices and fees until after you leave your pet. I can afford boarding, but I don't appreciate how they quote one price and then start charging for medical cards, waste, excess declined screenings and etc and require boarding clients to pay them. Not once did any of the 3 employees I spoke with before dropping my pet off mention those when I paid the drop off fee. They just force them on you later and ignore clients disputes of the ethics of adding unconsenting costs.

Will charge you an initial cost for boarding, and then upon return force clients to pay for various health screenings, medical cards, waste fees, etc not disclosed at drop off for an additional payment. Completely unethical business practice.

My boyfriend and I took our do...

My boyfriend and I took our dog here on Sunday morning for a severe allergic reaction. After two shots they sent him home and said he would be fine. That night I was awoken to the sound of my dog throwing up. His hives had also returned. When I called the vet to ask what I should do next they said they would call the doctor and call me back. After 2 calls with no response we decided to take our puppy to another vet. While at the new vet we finally received a call back from All Species saying that they couldn't get in touch with the vet and they didnt know what we should do. As soon as we entered the new animal hospital the doctors could tell how serious our dog's allergic reaction was. After talking with the new doctor I realized how much All Species Animal Hospital had failed to do. They were more worried about my decision not to neuter my dog then they were about the hives that were covering his body or the fact that he was extremely dehydrated. I was so excited to find a vet that would take care of all of my exotic pets but I was sadly mistaken about this facility. I will never take any of my animals to All Species 24 Hour Animal Hospital again and do not recommend it to anyone.

What sic88 doesn't mention is that we are an after hour emergency hospital. Just as you pay extra for going to the emergency room in an hospital the fees for emergency service for an animal are higher also. We always feel bad when we an animal comes in that the consumer doesn't want to pay for services; however, we are not able to bill insurance companies or ask for a tax subsidy to keep our doors open either. Would you expect your doctor to treat you for free and give you free medication?

I love the staff here, and the Vet has been WONDERFUL to my pom. She's had some serious stomach issues (crystals), and Dr. Innocent was the 3rd Vet to care for her due to an emergency situation. The others had prescribed antibiotics... to no avail. My pups tummy was worse not better AT ALL. SOOO, I rushed her into Dr. Innocent's facility one night and they were so nice and helpful. But the MAIN thing is that I left my dog there for approx. 2 nights (for observation and treatment), when I came back to pick her up, SHE WAS WELL!!!! She's been like a puppy ever since. Dr. Innocent was the only one to prescribe my dog a new food. WHICH IS THE SECRET!!!! At least in my situation. Anyway, I've only got nice things to say about this clinic, EXCEPT, they are a bit pricey. But as long as you can afford it, I believe he's the best around. THANKS DR. INNOCENT!!!

I don't understand all the neg...

I don't understand all the negativity surrounding this hospital. I have been taking my pet her for 5 years and have not once had a problem with the doctor or staff. Everyone is very friendly and the doctor is extremely knowledgeable. Of course, every buisness will have those who love the buisness and those who hate it. I am one who falls under the love catagory. I will continue to take my pet to Dr. Innocent because I know that he will give her the treatment she deserves.

Perhaps those who believe that the dr had something to do with their pets death need to take a closer look at the examinations done. Perhaps the doctor did all he could do, and yet the animal could not be saved.

My family has used Dr. Innocent since he moved to Atlanta. Don't be steered wrong by news. He supports animal rescue (I have 2 dogs that he had rescued) and often goes to rescue events, with animals for adoption. He is committed to animals and I would strongly urge anyone looking for vet in that area to use him.

Check out the ajc online and search for the story on a vet that holds a dog hostage for an unpaid bill and threatens to "dispose of" the dog. If you go to this clinic, you will be supporting a doctor who obviously puts money before the precious life of someone's beloved pet. From experience, this is not the first time something like this has happend with this vet. He will continue to add unnecesary charges without discussing the charges with you. BOYCOTT!
