We are an environmental industry expert in the use of super absorbent polymers for solidification and stabilization of industrial and hazardous wastes. Our Waste Lock brand Super Absorbent Polymer products are widely used in the environmental industry to treat many types of aqueous wastes. The advantage of these water-swellable superabsorbent polymers is that they can absorb many times their weight in water with nominal or negligible increase in waste volume or weight. Because of the polycarboxylate chemistry of the Waste Lock Super Absorbent Polymers, the polymer has a strong ion exchange affinity for soluble metal ions. Many wastes when solidified or stabilized with Waste Lock Super Absorbents will pass TCLP ( Toxic Characteristic Leachate Procedure ) for RCRA metals.
