General Info
Anastasia is the owner, and lead Physical Therapist at MVMT Physical Therapy. She has a strong background in figure skating, Pilates, Ballet, Lyrical dance and Ballroom. She has also taken up power lifting and Salsa lessons while studying for her degree at Russell Sage College. In 2019 she moved to North Carolina and joined the Cobo Brothers Dance Company performance team. MVMT Physical Therapy opened their doors in March 2022 as a private practice specializing in restoring function through tailored movements and education using MDT (McKenzie therapy). The core belief of the business follows that movement is the best healer with most injuries having mechanical origins that can be treated by corrective movements and exercises following the McKenzie Method. MVMT provides guidance to physically active people on how to listen to their bodies, heal their present injuries, and to teach how to prevent further injuries, and safely reach their goals. Physical therapists design treatment plans specific to each person's needs and goals. They can help people manage pain without the risks associated with opioids such as depression or substance use disorder. Physical therapy is an effective option for many conditions like meniscal tears or knee osteoarthritis, rotator cuff tears, spinal stenosis, lower back pain, sciatica, and degenerative disk disease. Additionally it can be used to treat headaches/migraines, TMJ dysfunction, balance/gait issues, vertigo/dizziness, neck pain, whiplash, torticollis, cervical fusion rehabilitation, and many more diagnoses.
