- Chiropractic AdjustmentsOur approach to health focuses on establishing optimal physical function throughout the body as a whole. In order to do this, we look beyond the site of symptomatic pain to determine the root cause of why the pain is there to begin with. Our evaluations consist of a functional analysis of muscular patterns in the body, which allows us to determine where deficiencies are present along connecting chains, why they are there, and how they are creating pain. With this, we then treat the chain of dysfunction by applying a mixture of chiropractic adjustments and soft tissue modalities such as Active Release Technique, Graston, dry needling and Stecco fascial manipulation. Once the restrictions are released within the muscular chains, our patients work one on one with our physical therapists in our clinics gym. Our exercise programs are created specifically for each individuals needs and consist of focused muscle stretches, resistance exercises, and neuromuscular reeducation strategies. Each of our manual therapies and rehab approaches target different aspects of muscular function allowing for healing to occur on multiple levels. By applying this diversity in our treatments we are able to establish and correct the imbalances that lead to the initial injury and prevent future injuries from occurring.
- SubluxationI’ve been coming to Physical Synergy for the past year due to a lower back subluxation, and later, rotator cuff irritation. The staff here hasn’t been anything less than incredible. Dr. Mike and Frank helped isolate the source of my pain, and developed a unique, creative solution to the problem which fit my injury, abilities, and lifestyle. I’ve seen more progress in as little as one visit than I would ever imagine achieving on my own. Their approach complimented my lifestyle, and even provided the tools to continue healing on my own time. Everyone on the staff is super friendly and excellent to work with!
- Manipulation TherapyGraston technique is a type of manual therapy that uses certified Graston instruments made of stainless steel to detect and treat areas of soft tissue dysfunction. The tools come in different shapes and sizes that are each formed and designed to treat a specific area of the body depending on the curvature of the tool. Graston allows the doctors to gain deeper access to the soft tissue structures compared to manual massage, which is limited to finger pad compression.
- Therapeutic ExerciseAfter your full assessment, your chiropractor will determine the best treatment plan that will provide you with the fastest relief with long-term results. This may include a combination of chiropractic adjustments, manual therapies, Active Release Techniques (ART®), dry needling and therapeutic exercise. After any treatment you might experience some redness, soreness, or bruising, which are all normal responses to the muscles recovery and healing process. These side effects may linger for up to 48 hours but often times can be reduced with the use of ice or heat and sufficient water intake.
- Flexion Distraction TherapyDr. Dinneen believes in a holistic approach to health, healing and lifestyle. He stays abreast of findings effecting chiropractic, nutrition, physical rehabilitation, and other wellness therapies by attending continuing education courses and seminars. He is proficient in the treatment techniques of Cox-Flexion distraction, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Active Manual Therapy, Kineso-taping, and rehabilitation program design.
- AcupunctureDry needling is a medical technique performed to help reduce pain and muscle tension and to help improve mobility in a specific area of the body. The name “dry needling” is used because there is no medication involved. This technique uses sterile acupuncture needles that are inserted through the skin into parts of the muscles that are over contracted, known as trigger points. The needle causes a release of this muscle contraction, which will decrease pain and increase range of motion in the specific area being treated.
