Farmington Public Schools is located in Farmington, Ark. It provides academic classes to more than 2,100 students in kindergarten through grade 12. The district s schools offer educational programs in reading, music, language arts, math, English, science, social studies, business, agriculture, family and consumer science, foreign languages and special education. The schools organize a range of athletic activities that include football, basketball, softball, baseball, cross country, track and field, tennis and soccer. The district s high school has a guidance and counseling department that provides information regarding scholarships, educational loans and career planning. The district s schools have cafeterias that feature chicken nuggets, sandwiches, green beans, rolls and salads. The schools also have a parent-teacher association, which is the oldest and largest child advocacy group working exclusively for children and youths.
