Her work includes family-sponsored immigration by US citizens and by US Permanent Residents. Alene pursues special visas and immigrant status for foreign-born people who have suffered substantially as victims of crimes committed in and reported in the US or in US territories. Applicants must have helped, or be expected to help, in the investigation of those crimes. Alene has an outstanding success rate in processing waivers of grounds of inadmissibility for applicants seeking Permanent Resident Status. Alene also handles the two highest categories of professional worker immigration cases. These are: (1) Extraordinary Professional Workers (called “EB-1”), and (2) Exceptional Professional Workers in the National Interest (called “EB-2 NIW”). Additionally, her cases include naturalization and US citizenship, Temporary Protected Status (“TPS”), Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) Requests, and more.
