I purchased my car roughly 5 months ago. My experience for the most part was ok. I had a new sales person Dominic who wasn't very knowledgeable at no fault of his own (he is no longer with the dealership). I asked him questions that he wasn't equipped to answer such as including my sales tax into my payment so he had to get his sales manager Brett who handled most of the negotiating. They did get me as close to the payment I requested as possible, however, I do have a couple issues with them. As part of his sales pitch Brett brought up the student or graduate rebate. He was well aware of my financial situation so he definitely used that as a selling point telling me I would be free of having to pay daycare for a while. Bonus right? He told me the amount of the rebate was $750 however when I got over to finance I was told $500. I don't understand how the SALES MANAGER doesn't know the amount of rebates he using to bait people. I didn't say anything to finance because if it's $500, it's $500 and there was nothing I could say to change that however I do feel they should honor what they tell people. That being said, I am still waiting to this day just to receive the $500. Brett left me a message a couple weeks ago saying the paperwork was initially filled out incorrectly and they didn't find that out until 6 weeks later. The only reason they found it is because I called inquiring. I was told by another sales rep that it should only take 6-8 weeks. I don't understand why after they found the error I am still without my rebate 5 months after my purchase. Clearly there is a lack of competence somewhere. I also mentioned that my sales tax was included in my financing. When I went to pay my sales tax the check was actually made out for too much which of course affects my note with them factoring in too much money for my overall financing. It was a huge inconvenience having to go back to the dealership and have them cut two seperate checks; one to me for the difference and the other to the DOR. Again I'm not sure how that happens or where the incompetence lies. Lastly, the car itself had an issue within a couple weeks. It wasn't anything major, just cosmetic but nevertheless something I should not have had to deal with. The driver's front seat stitching busted exposing the airbag. That took a couple months and multiple back and forth trips to the dealership to get repaired. They thought at first they could just stitch it back up but as time passed with nothing being done of course it only got worse and they ultimately had to replace the seat cover completely. Overall, the inconvenience I have experienced with this place is what has resulted in them not receiving a 5 star rating from me. I was counting on the money to buy my daugther's fall/winter clothes and I am still waiting for only God knows how long. All the dealership can say is I will get it. Really...thanks I guess. Everyone says how nice they are and that much is true but being friendly doesn't make up for everything else!

Zero Customer Service

I have bought many cars, and I am here to say confidently that I will never purchase another vehicle from the Paul Cerame auto group, and I will use all of my available power to keep people from buying there also.

I brought a brand new 2011 Kia three and a half weeks ago. It's been in the shop there for three of those weeks. Ever since I drove the car off the lot, it had a steering problem. The steering wheel stays slightly left, pulling the car left. They have tried to fix it six times now, and have replaced half the car. The problem still exists.

For the last week and a half I have been pursuing a buyback because Paul Cerame Kia sold me a faulty product, and they keep attempting to sweep it under the rug. They are of no help at all, telling me that I would have to call Kia and negotiate with them. Customer service is hard to come by at this dealership. I have about three people in the dealership say they would call me back with more information and I have not gotten a call in the last two days. I have been without a car three weeks, I am the one talking to the manufacturer (they are not involved at all), and they do not call you back. I've had to call every time and check on the status on my car.

I gave the Cerames and Kia a try. I greatly regret that decision, and I am going back to Honda and a reputable dealer as soon as this long, tedious process concludes.

Great Buying Experience

I purchased a new Ford Escape from Paul Cerame Ford yesterday and I can say that it was the best experience I have had in purchasing a car. The internet response was fast with a quote on the vehicle I wanted. The experience was no pressure and was more of a "we are here if you need us" approach by their sales staff. They were professional, helpful, and were very nice. The negotiation for my trade-in was unbelievable. I had done research using used car pricing tools (Intelliprice / Kelly Blue Book) so I had a fair and reasonable market figure in mind - and that is what I told them I would like to have. They accepted that without the typical back and forth that can be very annoying. That is a sign of respect for customer intelligence and that they value our time. And check this out - there was no doc fee!! Everyone adds those on and they can be up to $250, but $0 at Paul Cerame. I have never seen that and it was very refreshing. I would highly recommend this dealership to all serious Ford/Mercury buyers that don't want the hassles. Thanks you Tony Cerame and Tony Lee for a great experience.
