- Internal MedicineDr. Wertheim is Certified in Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Prior to that, he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Downstate/Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He received his Medical Degree from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, and his undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Stonybrook, Stonybrook, New York.

- ChemotherapyThe diagnosing and treating of cancer in adults using chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological therapy, and targeted therapy. A medical oncologist often is the main health care provider for someone who has cancer. A medical oncologist also gives supportive care and often coordinates treatment given by other specialists.
- Radiation TherapyWe will also review your prior medical records and test results. After a physical examination, we will outline a treatment plan and may order laboratory work. We would be happy to answer any questions at that time. If there is a need for chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy, one of our oncology nurses will meet with you individually to further explain our procedures and answer any of your questions.
