I cannot explain more how much this place was a lifesaver to me today. Taking the kids to school on the first day nonetheless, and realize I have a flat tire. I ran over a 3in nail to be exact. I pulled into the Illinois Road location which I've never been before. I was greeted promptly and my car was taken in no more than 5 minutes later. I was impressed by the courtesy and level of customer service I had received there. I will not take my business elsewhere and I will definitely be back! Thank You so much for the help AND I got my kids to school!

I had to give patriot tire on fernhill a 1 star because giving it zero stars is apparently not an option. I used to recommend this place to everyone the service seemed great but I don't know what changed but a few years back I noticed things going downhill. This however takes the cake! I'm a loyal customer I give them all my business. I went in because I had an exhaust leak, they told me it was an exhaust gasket and it would cost $280 to fix it, gulp but ok I can't have my car roaring like a lion. I came back go pick my car up the next day, paid for the repairs and went to leave. I turned my car on and it roared like a lion just as loud as when I brought it in. I didn't leave but turned around and walked right back into the store. They sent a mechanic out with me the one who did the repairs. I asked him why he didn't notice the noise and he said that he thought it was supposed to sound like that. I was dumb founded, because thats why I brought my car in the first place. He heard the noise kicked the muffler and my whole exhaust about fell off, he goes oh, I don't know how I missed this, its not even connected. I can weld that back together for you. Ok weld it back together, that will be $180! What!!!! Ok well I guess its fixed. Awhile later, I drove up to work and a friend who happens to be a mechanic goes your car has an exhaust leak I can hear it. I'm going I just had it fixed not that long ago it cost me $180, I thought my friend was going to have a heart attack, he told my I WAY, WAY OVER PAID!!! It should have cost $75 for an exhaust patch job which I confirmed with a local muffler shop. I went back in to see if they would fix the exhaust leak which my mechanic friend said was a very shoddy job. I was told they would fix it but it would cost me because I waited to long to have it looked at. I asked them why it cost so much to have it repaired the first time and the guy at the front desk said he didn't know but it looked like I paid too much and he wasn't sure why, but there was nothing he could do about it. I asked to talk to the manager, I was told the manager wouldn't be in until 11. Ok Ill come back then. I came back at 11 and had to wait over 30 minutes for the manager to show up. When I talked to the manager he was rude, and said he didn't know why it cost so much it didn't look right but there was nothing he could do. He did agree to fix the poor work they had done for free, but that was it. If it were my business I would have done what I could to try and right the wrong that clearly was seen by everyone, because it was written up on the receipt as a deposit. I was fed all kinds of lines as to what that would have been for, but at the end of the day they ripped me off and they know it and won't do a darn thing about it. I wasn't asking for my money back or anything but I would think the least they could have done would have been to throw in a couple of free oil changes or something for all the hassle and error in what they had charged me. I will never return and I am telling my whole family and all my friends that I have referred to them in the past to never go back. Shame on you patriot tire.
