We have been through a lot of medical issues lately. Throughout our journey we found there are many doctors and medical staff out there ripping self pay patients off. They know you don't have a choice but to get help and they make sure they take advantage of that. Jeers to Dr. Kennedy on 7th Street in Cooks Childrens. He charged us $350 for a 15 minute office visit (which they called extensive) and then because we forgot our copies of the xrays charged an additional $156 for 1 xray of 1 location. Our xrays we already had were done at Gateway for only $50 and they did 3!!! I called to discuss this with the office manager at Dr. Kennedy's office because it seemed very excessive for 15 minutes and was told sorry, but he worked hard during that 15 minutes doing an extensive exam. Doctors like this take advantage of self pay customers. Do not use him! We have been through a long journey and it's worth it to call around and get pricing. This was the only doctor that did this to us so I wanted to share it with the public!
