Coach House Garages was founded in 1973 by Willis Miller of Arthur, IL. Mr. Miller, a local Amish gentleman, started the company as a small operation working from his home in rural Arthur. Mr. Miller's basic principle was to build a quality building and take care of his customers. Mr. Miller found a ready market for his craftmanship and attention to detail. That same year, Roger Gadberry established a dealership in Decatur for Mr. Miller's garage buildings. With one dealer and three employees, Coach House was on it's way to becoming the premier garage buider in the state of Illinois. Mr. Miller found that other areas liked his building technique, and over the years more dealers were added. Currently there are 25 sales offices located throughout Illinois, portions of Iowa, Missouri, and Indiana. The Coach House name continues to spread as one customer tells another about the Coach House experience. Quality, value, and craftmanship are things that are never outdated. Mr. Miller's basic principles of customer service and quality have provided a solid foundation on which to build a company. To improve material handling, allow for increased production, and accommodate inside storage of building materials, a new facility was developed and production began at the current location in 2005. The same year, Coach House began manufacturing their own roof trusses. Coach House has constructed over 20, 000 buildings since it's inception in 1973, totaling over 12 million square feet. Using a panelized manufacturing process in the plant and systematic building procedures, Coach House has the advantage of a highly efficient building process. All buildings are built by highly trained company employees. Coach House is dedicated to providing a quality product at a competitive price to the marketplace.
