Carolyn Geis, MD, is the service chief for stroke and brain injury rehabilitation and associate professor in the department of Physical Medici r and Rehabilitation. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas and completed her residency training at Loyola University Chicago in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where she served as Chief Resident. Prior to joining UF Health, she served as Medical Director and service line chief for Halifax Health Brooks Rehabilitation.Her current research projects focus of post-stroke and brain injury spasticity management, gait mechanics and fall prevention.Dr. Geis is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with subspecialty board certification in Brain Injury Medicine.
