      Juan M. Aranda Jr., MD, FACC, is a professor of medicine and chief of cardiology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. He also serves as the vice chair for clinical affairs for the Department of Medicine. Dr. Aranda is board certified in cardiovascular medicine and advanced heart failure/cardiac transplantation. He brings over 25 years of experience in the treatment of heart failure/cardiac transplantation. Dr. Aranda has shown a lifetime commitment to education in cardiovascular disease to residents, fellows and physicians throughout the region and Latin America. He is a previous Governor of the American College of Cardiology and has participated in multiple committees of the American College of Cardiology to improve, quality, education and services in the area of cardiovascular disease.
