The Cradle of Aviation Museum is a day well spent. Convenient location and for families with a wide age range there is a wide variety of activities. It is a plus to have the Long Island children's Museum right next door. Located in what is left of historic Mitchel Field, the Cradle of Aviation looks to the past as well as to the future of air and space. Special lectures, activities and home of one of the few true IMAX theaters makes it a visit worth while.
