A lot of these reviews are from 2014-2015 and I couldn’t disagree with them more. I had my appointment on 2/17/2024 and it was amazing!! Everyone was welcoming, even the people who weren’t working with me directly were kind and supportive from a distance. Rachele, who assisted me, was the best. She listened to everything I said, she was helpful and kind and didn’t push any dress on me. If I wanted to try it on she was ready to help and if I hated it she was on my side. It was amazing.

Poffie Girls did an amazing job and went up and beyond to help assist a young lady we sponsored for the prom. The gown was beautiful and the staff was amazing! You can see the dress on Youtube and how stunning this young lady was.

We were NOT impressed at all! From the moment we stepped through the front doors we did not get a warm and welcome vibe. We were there to shop for my sister a wedding gown. We did our research and according to Poffie Girls website an appointment was not necessary. Being that we had a 2 hour drive ahead of us to get there, we didn't make an appointment. Upon arrival the lady at the front desk was cold and could have cared less that we were there to spend thousands of dollars. Needless to say we stayed less than 10 mins and walked out and will NEVER be back. I DO NOT recommend Poffie Girls at all!! This is a horrid place. Walking thru the door for my daughters appointment we had to fill out a card and asked to wait in the other room. Once an attendant did assist us she was rude while my daughter was speaking and seemed more excited to assist another bride. A bride is suppose to feel special thru the whole process. She tried on 2 gowns and asked for the veil to try them on with and was told when she got down to the two she liked best she would get accessories?! Rushed and rude. Asked what the budget was several times. Am pretty sure a budget shouldn't be their priority it should be making sure the woman got the perfect dress for them. Over rated place. Would not recommend anyone here. Lady acted shocked when I informed her we were leaving. Suppose they aren't used to being told no. Went to NY Bride and Groom 20 minutes down the road. Amazing customer service! My daughter felt amazing and beautiful and squealed with delight in her new dress as it was perfect for her. Skip this place. Its a waste of time/effort

Great place to purchase a dress, however alterations were a nightmare.



After seeing Poffie Girls featured on Platinum Weddings and hearing about their fantastic selection, I decided to check it out. The selection process was a breeze. I worked with Ginger who was fantastic. I found my dream dress ( Enzoani, Marlow) and the process of getting the dress was quick and easy. Then comes the nightmare... the alterations department. Not only is the department extremely expensive, but they are disorganized and mean. My dress was purchased a size large, just so I would be safe in the size and could be altered if needed ( 5'5, 128lbs, size 6). The woman in the alterations department ( older with red/brown hair) was very abrasive when speaking to her customers, rude, demeaning and mean. I originally asked for a corset to be sewn in to be able to make the dress tight or loose in different areas as I am a nervous eater/starver ( like most women). She immediately shut down my idea and did the alterations she wanted, not what I wanted. I went back for alterations 3 times, each time being shamed and told I had no idea what I was talking about At the final alterations, I asked for changes and was told they would not change the dress any further. The sides of the dress were botched from being taken in and let out, the dress was too tight around my rib cage, the bust of the dress was a little big as you could see down my cleavage, and the bustle for the heavy train was held up with 3 small buttons. Being that I was running out of time, I shipped my extremely tight dress to California for my platinum destination wedding. When I tried on the dress 2 days before the wedding, it would not zip up because it was too tight (still 5'5 and 128 lbs). I ended up having to have a tailor for the stars in Los Angeles, California sew a corset ( that I originally asked for) in to the dress. Luckily she saved the day but did not save me any tears or cash and my dress finally fit on my wedding day. If the woman in the alterations department at Poffie Girl had listened to my concerns instead of shaming me, the alterations process would have been a better experience. I have never felt so fat, ugly and broken down as that woman made me feel. My advise to anyone getting a dress from this store is to find your own alterations, you will be much happier with the outcome.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!! My daughter's dress was ordered on February 1, 2013. Her prom wasn't until April 20th, so we were assured the dress would arrive at the store in plenty of time to have alterations before the April 20th prom date. We called often to check the status of the delivery and was given a different delivery date each time. The sales associate changed the delivery date 4 different times - after the 4th missed date (10 days until prom!) I requested a refund. We were refunded the down payment money we had invested up to this point however the sales associate was SO RUDE, NEVER APOLOGIZED. Worst example of customer service I have seen in a long time. I would not recommend this store to anybody! I left the store with my daughter in tears feeling like I had been railroaded. If you are planning on visiting this store to buy any type of formal wear - please reconsider.

Ok- Poffie girls has gorgeous dresses and a huge tasteful selection. Very large price range- but classy dresses. However, if you want accuracy and good service- it's a loose cannon. I ordered my wedding dress from there which they screwed up and didn't get the right one, so a few weeks from my wedding they finally go the right one....... also I tried to warn my sister from getting her dress from there- but she also got the bridesmaid's dresses from these people, which they screwed up the entire order for bridesmaid's dresses, and no one had time to alter them before her wedding since the right ones came in so late. Like I said- great selection, good luck if you want the right dress.

I recently got married and went to Poffie Girls to purchase my gown. From the moment I walked in I felt like the most important person. The friendliness of the staff and the personal attention showed to me by everyone who worked there made me aware that I didn’t want to go anywhere else, which is why I purchased everything there from Tuxedos to invitations. Prior to going to Poffied Girls, I had visited other stores and didn’t get the personal attention like I did here. Often times planning a wedding can be a very stressful time for brides, but with the professionalism and experience these ladies at Poffie Girls have, my planning was enjoyable and worry free. I am so grateful to have stumbled upon such an eloquent and knowledgeable bridal boutique and I would definitely recommend them to all of my friends and colleagues.

Not much of anything nice. Didn't show me what I was asking for. Just what they wanted me to try on. Would not recommend. They try to push what they want you to buy on you.
