Awful experience!! Home warranty picked them. Tried to gouge me for over $1700 and I had the repair done by All-star plumbing for under $200. They were almost predatory...

I have sent all the paperwork from AMPM into the warranty company and they are flabbergasted. They have opened an investigation and have apologized profusely and are working to get me back my service fee.

Stay far away!!!

Full story is below...

Appointment was scheduled between 1-3p. Told the lady that I'm 30 minutes away so please have the tech call me before they come so I can get there. 12:15 in the middle of lunch I get a call from their tech and he is 10 minutes away... Tenant was on the way so he arrived first. He said the guy looked bothered by the 25 minute wait but he was there at 12:50 so we could be there during the time we were told 1-3.

Tenant showed before me so I did the phone thing while he walked the issue. They (tech named Bobby) said that the only repair was a new master clean out. Said over the phone to me that he would call the home warranty to see what was covered and call me back. (I've come to find out that everyone knows this is not covered) I asked do you have any idea what we are looking at and he responds "$700 if you want us to put it in the wall behind your toilet. We knock a hole in the wall and put in a clean out. You can use a picture or something to cover the hole. Or your other option is 17, $1750 maybe more if you want it done from the front of the house." He asked for my card to cover the service call from the home warranty and said he would call back.

Arrived around 1:15 and no truck. Guy was gone. Left no price to repair the clog. Nothing, just a blank sheet with the service fee of $45.

I called AMPM and asked to speak with a manager or an owner and DeAnne, who said she was a part owner of the company. She of course said that the tech was completely in the right and that's what I get. Luckily I got to Will (their master tech) who said that there were other options and that he would send someone else out.

The second tech, (Josh) showed up around 4pm and was great. Said that the stop by Bobby was not normal even though Deanne would argue to the death it was. Re-wrote up another estimate for a clear out at $350, a camera for another $275 and $785 to add the clean out behind the toilet. I found 25 people that would do the clear out for less. Even Parker and Sons who are good, but expensive quoted a lower price.

Josh called into the shop to see if there was a way that they could help out on the bill with what I had gone through. I called and got to DeAnne and she said that the person who makes that call would call me back. We stood there in the heat for an hour. Josh and I both scratching our head.

After an hour I had 2 appointments for the next day and the quote from All Star was $180 and they did the job fine at half the cost of those predators! They saw I could flush my toilets and they started salivating. $17, $1750?? This is just insane. What poor clients have taken these guys word for it and been taken to the cleaners? I can only wonder.

I called to explain this whole ordeal to Deanne as she said she was an owner and this experience was one I didn't think she would want other customers to go through. She was again not willing to listen to me, and scolded me for keeping her tech there at my house for an hour and not doing the repair. She talked over me, raised her voice to me and finally told me that "choice home warranty sends over 60 people per day to us and there's nothing you can do to stop that so good luck!!"

That was my experience with this company.

AM PM Plumbing made an appointment to replace a leaking faucet in my kitchen. The appointment window was set for between 8 am
and 10 am. At 8 am, I received a call from "Trish" at AM PM Plumbing advising me that the technician called in sick and wouldn't be attending my appointment. I then agreed to reset the appointment for between 7 am and 9 am the next day. After getting out of bed at the crack of dawn a second day in a row, the technician failed to show up by 9 am. He finally called me at 9:15 am to tell me he would arrive at my home by 9:30 am.
AM PM Plumbing NEVER answers their phone. If you don't believe that, try calling them and see for yourself. They are nearly impossible to get in touch with either by phone, text or email. If you hire them for a job, you are making a huge mistake. AM PM Plumbing is not a reliable plumbing business. Do yourself a big favor and avoid doing business with them! There are much better plumbing companies available to fix your problem.

I was referred to this company by my American Home Shield insurance and i can't wait to drop the coverage. I am not sure sure whether the company has an actual office because calls are rarely answered directly. Not sure where to start, but its very frustrating dealing with people like this. Appointment are never kept and when they fail to show up, nobody cares to call you back!!! My neighbor was willing to fix the leaky faucet for less than what I paid plus the 3 days off work. Terrible. Any positive reviews about this company must from the owner or close friends therefore, be careful

If I could give zero stars I would. I am not normally a person to post a negative review, but this company has EARNED IT.

It first started with a claim for my faucet leaking. My warranty company (First American Home Buyers Warranty) sent AMPM out and the issue was fixed after two visits. The whole situation was frustrating because the company does not answer their phone. I tried both numbers multiple times to reach them regarding my appointment. The timeframe they gave me did not match the timeframe they texted me, and then they showed up AN HOUR LATE. The guy that showed up was in and out, not very friendly. I complained with my warranty company about the lack of professionalism and expressed that I did not want to use them again in the future.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago. My water heater wouldn't stay lit. It was blinking 4 times, which indicated an issue with the gas valve (i was told by the actual water heater company). My warranty sent AMPM plumbing again....same thing happened. Could not reach them by phone, they never answer. Finally someone called me back and said they were going to just replace the water heater, and that I should call my warranty about "additional costs." Turns out, AMPM said not only was my water heater completely broken and "no good," but I also needed $400 in additional work done for the install. It seemed fishy from the get go, so I informed my warranty company but they said they couldn't send another contractor. I ended up canceling the appointment, called a local plumbing company (Top Tier Plumbing) and WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Problem fixed. Not a bad water heater, and not $400 in extra services. It cost me a total of $65 to have this fixed, and that is including him replacing an extra part that he said will help prevent the issue that happened in the first place!

AMPM is a dishonest company, I am surprised they are even in business. They just tried to take my money and replace a perfectly good water heater.

I would give negative if possible, Horrible experience I would never ever ever recommend this company to anybody. I have never ever ever dealt with such a rude service person in my entire life. He screamed and yelled by the time I wrote the check I was shaking. He even yelled as I was writing the check to my neighbor that I had to stand there because I was afraid of this gentleman that I couldn't afford to pay my bills. He was very very unprofessional very threatening. We were on speaker phone with Choice Home Warenty so the call was recorded when he was yelling at me and the gentleman from choice. The things that he said the way that he spoke to me were threatening and unprofessional. I will file a report with the Better Business Bureau. I have never had somebody service my home, and been afraid of them. This man should never ever ever be allowed into peoples homes.

Is it possible to give an -5 star rating. I don't even think they deserve one star but you have to put at least one on to write a review. This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is horrible specifically Trish in the office and Deanna the owner. Unbelievably rude and for sure do not put the customer first. We went from a slow drain when the plumber arrived to a complete stoppage by the time he left and now they are refusing to fix a problem they caused. Absolutely ridiculous and totally incompetent. Do not every use this plumbing company!

This company is terrible do not use them!!! I have an American Home Shield (AHS) Home Warranty and this is the only company that they contract with in my area. (Also a crappy company) My hot water heater started leaking and I contacted AHS and they assigned the work to AM PM. I immediately called there so called 24 Hr Emergency Number and left a message on there voice mail. I never received a call back and I was unable to get them on the phone until 10 AM the next day. They dispatched a technician who came out and told me that in addition to the Water Heater that I would have to replace all of the connections on my water heater despite the fact that they were all in perfect working order and did not need to be replaced. They told me that they would not do the work unless they replaced all the connections at a cost of $299.00. After speaking with AHS I was told I could not get a 2nd opinion and that my only option was they could send me a check for the cost that they would pay for the repair which did not amount to enough to even purchase a comparable water heater. In the end I was forced to AM PM and not only are they unscrupulous but they are also incompetent.. We scheduled the appointment and they did not show up despite calling them 3 times to make sure they were coming. This fact cost my wife a day off from work. When we called them they said that I had thrown there technician out of our home when he gave us the estimate which by the way is a bold faced lie. I was nothing but polite with the technician and with the two people that I spoke to at there office and I have witnesses to back that statement up. Do not use this company it is the worst customer service experience I have ever had.
