This is the best group of vets and staff. They actually care about you and your animals, unlike others we have used in the past. This shows every time we bring Rusty in. They were able to cure his skin issues when no others could! Krystal is fantastic with Rusty. She listens to what people say and is never quick to try and upsell anything. Today, we brought Rusty in for a nail trim as we are not able to do it ourselves without him clawing my wife and I to pieces. We actually thought he was going to have to be sedated to do this. To our surprise, they were able to do this without Rusty having to be sedated in 10 minutes. We were so grateful, as sedation is not something that should be done without concern! They could easily have charged me 70.00 for this (I would gladly have paid to get his claws trimmed), but instead charged me 10.00 for the trim. You won't do wrong making these people your vets. I just happened to read comments and a couple were so bad I had to make sure I was at the right vet. I am sad that those animal parents had a bad experience knowing the bonding between animal and owner. When my beloved Tye was injured in a dog fight to the point his bone was sticking out, Dr McDermott's skill not only aided Tye's recovery, he showed compassion to me as well during the ordeal. I have complete confidence with all the doctors there and am so glad to call them my vet. The compassion doesn't stop with the vets, it begins with the front counter and continues to the cashier. I really like this place.

They saved several of my dogs. one had garbage gut so bad they had to keep him 3 days. they went above and beyond and even offered him a different type of food knowing he is a very picky breed trying to get him to eat. And it was way cheaper then a vet closer to me. Now that we have goats they go there too.

I have been using Spencer's for over 6 years. I have used other vets in the past but Spencer's is the best hands down. They have met me at night in an Emergency, they have worked me in when my Lilly had an allergic reaction and have been all around great for both of my dogs. Love them. I live 3 towns over and I still will make the drive to Gilmer from Kilgore.

I brought yearlings that where sick and he gladly sold me $1500 worth of medicine to save them. Which would have been alright if at least one would have lived. So my advise is if you have sick cattle take them somewhere else.

I have used spencer vet before and will say the prices are the best around and they did save my chihuahua for me but after tonight I will never use or recommend them to anyone! My daughter in laws dog was HIT BY A CAR.he is having trouble breathing,seizures,cannot stand up or move and won't eat and this is the response I got from them( Spencer vet can't see the dog on emergency basis, but give pain meds as instructed and we could see you at 8am) this dog won't make it through the night without being seen and i am 100% positive if any one of them got hit by a car it would be classified as an emergency and I'm sure they wouldn't wait till 8am the next morning to go to the doctor.

The vet may be nice....if you get that far!!
Front desk staff are F...ing rude.
This isn't the first time but you how we do it giving someone a second chance.
But this time they blew it!!!
They have lost a good customer with 9 animals, livestock and domestic.
They class ferrets as exotic, which to me sounds absolutely ridiculous, because they have been Domesticated for about 2 thousand years.
They are also highly priced! If I'm paying high prices I expect polite staff.
So if I was you I would recommend finding another vet.

I love the staff! They truly care about your animals and treat them with love and tenderness. And they understand how they are part of our family. Highly recommend them!!
