Located in Golden Valley, Minn., the Golden Valley Fire Department is a public safety agency that offers various fire prevention and education programs that include fire safety tips and public education. It organizes annual safety camps and other community-based activities for children. The department is comprised of more than 50 employees, including a deputy fire marshal, training coordinator, administrative assistant, and fire and property maintenance specialist, as well as on-call firefighters. The Golden Valley Fire Department focuses on fire prevention and suppression and rescue services for city residents and visitors. It responds to over 800 calls related to fires, emergencies and automobile accidents every year. The Golden Valley Fire Department is a member of the North Suburban Regional Mutual Aid Association and the Southwest Mutual Aid Association.
