We contacted them for an estimate, and Mike came out punctually- a little early even, to do the estimate. He then said it would be a couple days to hear back because Chadd was out of town. A week later, we contacted him to ask about the estimate, and Chadd responded and came out to sign the contract and take our 50% deposit. Which they cashed immediately. That was a Friday At the time, Chadd said they would call Digger's Hotline on Monday, and the schedule was 7-10 days out. 10 days pass and we hadn't seen any sign of Digger's or heard from them. We contacted Chadd, who said he was passing messages on to Mike, which were never answered. He finally gave us Mike's direct number, who only when he threatened to cancel the job, did Mike call back- claiming that because we hadn't called him directly, he hadn't gotten any of these messages. He said the plan was "always" to come out first thing Friday morning and that he'd be here. We asked him to let us know if the schedule changed. It is now Friday at 11:00am. We have called Mike twice and Chadd once with no response. So after much arguing, where they claimed (at 1:30, and it hadn't started raining until 1pm) that the reason they didn't show was because of rain, they came out on Wednesday- no explanations as to why they wouldn't come on Saturday, when they said they would finish the job, or Tues (Monday was a Holiday) They showed up at 8:40am. They placed the fence posts, and then left for the day before 1:30pm. During the entire process they said it would be a 2 day job. When they stopped to tell me they were going to go get the supplies (allegedly the reason I couldn't stop the job before they started- said they had already bought the supplies) they said they would do the poles that day and install the chain link "tomorrow" Once a contractor friend came by, that changed to they wouldn't be able to string the fence until Friday because the cement had to set. They called me a liar when I said they had just told me, an hour before, that the work would be done the next day. They showed up at 8:30am on Friday, did 2/3 of the fence, in very shoddy work- nothing attached to the posts except on the corners, fence strung across landscaping border, bending the fence and crushing the border., top rail bending because it wasn't supported in a long stretch, etc With no hint of when they would be back to finish the job, and they ignored several texts and calls. Until I left a message telling them not to show up on the premises again. Then Mike called back and tried to say the work was done correctly, nothing in the contract said they had to work more than 4 hours a day (Seriously!) in good weather, and that we had no right to expect the work to be done when he had said it would be. We told him, and then followed with a text to get it in writing, that no one from Pristine Fence is permitted on our property and we would call the police if they did. He then threatened us with his lawyer. They are blatant scam artists and if you hire them, you'll end up with a half done, poor quality job, and then probably in a courtroom! Luckily we took pictures of the work, and have a contractor who was a witness to the work and their short work days. And on top of that? Chadd had the nerve to harass me about the negative reviews- said it was "unnecessary"
