I own a large CDC in Easley and for several years have taken my children to the Science Center for programs. Today, I had a group of 18 children who were going to a new program about Life on the Farm. It was raining, so we called several times before transporting our children in the rain to make sure the program was still going to happen. We called the education center and they connected us to the building where the program was to take place 4 times before we got an answer. They were supposed to be there at 8:30 and we needed to leave. Finally we got someone to answer and got there on time. The program was very short and not very educational and we were really disappointed. We paid and came back to the center. I received a phone call from one of the employees later today yelling at me that whoever called in the AM to find out information was very "angry" and had lied about calling 4 times! I was so stunned as she continued to rant at me and then hung up before I could say a word. IS this the example of fostering education in young people? Angry employees who call customers and reem them without giving them a chance to speak? I do not want my children exposed to this kind of behavior and was just agast that someone would call and let me have it like this. she hung up on me. This is no way to run this center and I was very disappointed in this.
