      Dr. Hopkins is a Fellowship Trained Orthopaedic Surgeon Board Certified in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. A Griffin, Georgia native, Dr. Hopkins is very involved in his community. His special interests are in sports injuries, arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder, ACL reconstruction, shoulder instability and rotator cuff pathology, total joint replacement (knee, hip, and shoulder), and fracture care.Dr. Hopkins served in the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon. He currently serves as Chair of the University System of Georgia Board of Regents. Dr. Hopkins is a board member of MAG Mutual Insurance Company and United Bank Corporation.
