Meier's Landscaping & Lawn Service came out to perform hedge trimming and bush trimming services on the front and back of my residence. Upon trimming the bushes in the back of my home, a worker cut clean through my satellite cable. When confronted about the damage, the worker informed us that they were calling the owner, Larry Meier to see what to do. When I called the office, I was told that the owner isn't picking up & hadn't called in. I told them that I wanted Direct TV to come out to repair the damage the landscape workers did & the company to pay for damages done. They replied that the owner would come out to, "see if he can (illegally) splice it back so I wont have to pay for it (why would I PAY for it!!)." I reiterated that I am uncomfortable with that & would prefer Direct TV to fix it & Meier's landscaping pay for the damages. After Larry the owner asked me a dozen questions about what wire/cable might be what, I told him that I don't know, I am not familiar with cable/wire set up. The owner Larry Meier told me, "If the workers didn't see it, they wouldn't have cut it -so we don't cover that. I won't pay for that." That made zero sense. No apologies were given. No remorse was shown. When I called the office to finally complain and voice my ever increasing displeasure, the receptionist Amy rudely hung up on me. In the end, his workers caused damage to my home/satellite, no apologies were given, and the owner had no intention on paying for the damages. The only thing the owner of a landscaping company offered was to "try & splice" my cable once he figured out what goes where. I forwarded home surveillance footage with a report of the damage & incident to the BBB and the Attorney General.
