I have two children, 5 and 13, currently attending Rodney Cheeseman Karate and MMA Studio. Both boys truly enjoy the experience and look forward to their sessions each week. When my youngest started training (Age 4 ½), I was worried he would have difficulty staying focused and following the directions of his instructors for the duration of a class. My concern was unnecessary. Mr. Cheeseman, Kyoshi, is an excellent instructor with a bigger than life personality that commands the attention of adults and children of all ages. His training maintains an excellent balance of instruction and fun that keeps the children engaged throughout each session.

I am not a very good self motivator when it comes to working out and gyms just got boring. So I thought I would try kickboxing. I found this place on google, it fit in with the days I could go, and had a great price so I thought I would check it out. I fell in love with it. I look forward to going to class every day. I can definitely tell a difference in my strength and endurance. This class goes hard! And the instructor is awesome! He makes the class more entertaining than it already is, and he is a great encourager as well. If you are interested in Karate and MMA fitness, this is the place to go! The class is so fun, it flies by.

Rodney Cheeseman has the best karate program in Hampton, VA. In his karate class he teaches the kids self discipline as well as self respect. I recommend him to any family that has kids that wants to do karate. Take them there because they will really love it.

Rodney Chesseman Karate & MMA is a great place to learn self-defense and a great way to get a work out in. With Rodney Cheeseman’s expertise in mix martial arts ranging from Karate to Jiu-Jitsu, he will give you the confidence and skills you need to defend yourself in any situation. Rodney emphasizes how important it is for him to teach woman self-defense and give them the tools to defend themselves. He works on your strengths and weaknesses when it comes to female self-defense. I am enrolled in Rodney Cheeseman’s MMA program and it has improved my strength, balance, coordination and self-defense skills. Rodney Cheese has an awesome cardio class that will get you in shape or if you are in shape will keep you in shape. His cardio class is on a whole other level. He is constantly changing up the class so he keeps you on your toes throughout the workout. His cardio class has me sweating up a storm and I feel so amazing after each workout, I just keep going back for more. Overall I highly recommend Rodney Cheeseman Karate & MMA because it is an awesome way to get in shape or stay in shape and more importantly to learn the skills and the importance of self-defense. So come on out and give it a try.

Mr. Rodney Karate is the best program I have found in Hampton Roads for my 7 year old daughter, She has been a part of his program for 2 years now. He teaches Karate and more importantly self discipline and self respect. His time and dedication to my daughter's training is priceless. We recommend him to any family who wants to get their shy kids to come out and have a Great and FUN time. that is the most important part in addition to building self confidence.
