      Established in 1977, Transitions Family Violence Services is a private, nonprofit organization that offers transitional housing services for the victims of domestic violence. The organization provides violence prevention, counseling and advocacy services. It offers transportation, crisis intervention and emergency response solutions. Transitions Family Violence Services provides case management, medical care and community education services. The organization also offers outreach programs for the women and child witnesses of violence. In addition, it provides play therapy, after-school tutoring and conflict resolution programs for children.
