My first and last time here!
PROS: prices, fast call back, friendly, convenient location.
CONS: In addition to a kennel cut with clean face & feet, I wanted ears plucked and wiped clean. I explained that my poodle had a problematic ear and the Vet had seen him the day before and said to tell the groomer to not put anything in his ears. No water, no anything. I also wrote it on the info card that I filled out. I had forgotten to request nails trimmed so I called back and left the message. When I returned to pickup, I was told he wouldn’t let them shave his feet, which I understood since he was young and hadn’t been groomed much. I was just glad the face and body looked pretty good. (However, the previous places we had gone to were able to do a much better job on the feet.) I asked if they got my message about the nail trim and was told yes they did it. Btw, my dog wasn’t brought out to me until after I had paid, which seems suspicious now that I think back. And I’m mad at myself for including a gratuity without seeing my dog first.
While holding the leash of my big energetic dog in the too small & crowded front room, it was then mentioned that POWDER WAS USED IN HIS EARS to help with plucking hairs!!! I didn’t know what to say. When I got him home, I tried to wipe out the grit from his ear but of course couldn’t get to the deep folds of the inner ear. He continued to shake his head. I applied more antibiotic. Over the next week I removed little chunks of hardened powder from that ear. Also, the next day after the grooming appointment, I used scissors to cut a few random little missed pieces sticking out from his haircut - not a big deal, but something that could have been seen by the groomer. And I had to trim his nails myself.
NOTHING IN THE EARS is no water, no soap, no liquid, no powder. AND if it was needed, why not call the dog’s owner or vet clinic and discuss FIRST?!
*Because of the disregard of my request for his ears, I won’t be returning to K-9 Dezign.*

Worst ever. Dog was bleeding on toes and they didn't tell me about why. I just noticed it at home. Huge razor mark down leg. Uneven cut. Big chunk of hair left on muzzle. The dog wasn't even washed!! I have never had such bad cut. My dog acted very upset and drank a lot of water. I have had her groomed many times at other places and am always told she is super calm and easy to groom. Not sure what happened here.

I was not happy with the grooming from K-9 Dezign. My dog coat was uneven and chopped up looking. I ask for my dogs inner ear hair to be plucked as my vet recomended.This was not done..instead they took clippers to her inner ears and left her ears full of hair shavings that I cannot get out. And because of that I was not able to put her ear drops medication in her ears.

The owner of the shop is great with my difficult dog! I was afraid that my dog was set in his own was and he would be impossible to groom, but the owner Renee was acustom to dogs like mine! Not only was the she wonderful, but my dog looked great when she was done! I will be back and recommend anyone including dogs with attitudes! Thanks again!
