I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2011 and then on a pet scan 4 months after surg. they found a legion on my liver and Dr,.Parikh said it was a stage 4 and that I needed chemo asap and a treatment plan, after 6 months of chemo I had my liver resection at sloan kettering in NYC. after my recovery period I had a cat scan and a pet scan done and I am in remission thanks to Dr. Parikh I cannot thank him enough when I was first diagnosed I did not want to do anything especially chemo and he made me understand my treatment options ,the chemo drugs and side effects he was hopeful and told me he will be able to get me to remission and most likely a cure, as upset as I was hearing the news I felt that he really cared about me and wanted to help,and he has always told me the truth and treated my symptoms while on chemo and continues to do so now. I feel that he treats the patient first and then the cancer. I will always recommend him to family, friends and co-workers thank you . Theresa F
