Being an elderly widow, I always fear being taken advantage of when having my car repaired. Meineke and Firestone have done this many times. Vela is closest to home, so I took it there when my temperature light started flashing. From the waiting area, I was able to watch the mechanic examine under the hood to find the problem, verify his findings with another mechanic, make a call about the part. He then told me the problem, the cost for parts and labor, and the time frame for the repair. He did not try to delay, pressure me, or up-sell me like Meineke and Firestone. The experience made me feel confident with my decision to stay with a mechanic close to home.

Vela's is as good as it gets when it comes to service for my vehicle. Honest work and the prices are awesome. I pass over several mechanic shops to acquire his services. No other shop is as reliable as this one.

Will have to agree with the other great reviews. Israel takes care of you promptly. You do feel like his only customer. He changed my alternator while I waited, 30 minutes. I called about 10 places from here to League city and he was the best price. I am going tomorrow morning for a seperate issue and again his price quote was very fair. Highly Recommend Israel Vela on Scarsdale. Very trustworthy.

Vela is fantastic, I won't take my car anywhere else. A friend referred me & said the exact same thing about him that I am now. He's fast, honest, reliable & his whole crew works hard.

Vela's Tire does wonderful work and the owner treats all his customers as though they are his only one. I have used them for tires and am preparing to have some mechanical work done and I am confident I have the right place. Awesome and worth driving across town for. Single mothers this is a place where you won't get riped off.

Excellent and quick service. Best place I have found. They are very attentive to their work and seem to care a lot about quality. If I do not have to, I don't go anywhere else.
