Just got ripped off..brought in 200 lbs of yellow brass at 1.20a pound they ended up giving me $0.50 a pound because it had plastic on it didn't let me know until after they had dumped all the brass this place is a complete rip off don't let them take your material right after they weigh it they will dump it and there's nothing you can do about it taking my business elsewhere

Joliet American scrap yard are nothing but thieves they stole from me twice they reset the scales I've weighed personally two times now before I came in they screwed me out of 483 pounds of high grad cooper wire that was 2 to 3 months ago now just to day 11:20 ..1/19/16 they screwed me on 159 pounds when I hade 302 pounds of yellow brass they gave me 143 pounds one my Receipt ..This is the second time they've done this then I caught them on And I wonder how many times they've done this before to meI wonder if anybody else catches them do the same I recommend going to Lemont scrap. Berlinsky would be second choice. ..all American just lost my and 2 other of my buddy's business .know of at least 4 other people who had the same thing happened to them ..would never think that a place would do that to hard working people who all ready are trying to make ends meet Expecially with the prices are what they are

best yard around, they pay good. i get at least $125 just for left over scrap from work. great beer $ for the week or i guess gas either way its straight.

It was quick and clean. The paid me more than any other yard in the area and they paid cash not a check. I would recommended going there
