      Holly chose her career and specialty because she has always wanted to help serve the community and work older adults. She gets excited coming to work every day to endure the endless possibilities, for she never knows who she will be able to help or what she will get to learn.Holly received her Doctorate of Nursing with a special focus on gerontology from the University of Michigan in Flint, Mich. Her family has been the biggest influence in her life and she feels so fortunate to learn, be encouraged, and supported by them. She hopes that she will be able to make a difference in her patient’s lives just as her family has done in hers.In her free time, Holly enjoys being active outdoors and spending time with her family. She also is very interested to see what volunteer opportunities come her way and is available in the Kalamazoo County.I think it’s important to listen to the patient and make sure they understand what is going on with their health. As a provider, I am here to listen and get to know the patients point of view and how they live their life, along with providing information and support in order to help the patient make the best informed decision in their care. We all want positive outcomes for our patients and I believe the best way to accomplish that is by working together and supporting the patient.
