She has worked with a variety of orthopedic conditions from post-operative treatments, to sprains and strains, to concussions. She holds certifications in functional movements screen/selective functional movement assessments, kinesiotaping and instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation. She also enjoys pediatrics and sees everything from broken bones on the playground to general development delays and more. She has been a lead volunteer for the Special Olympics of Frederick's Young Athletes Program.
- Primary CareIf you are part of an HMO or other health plan which requires a referral, you will be asked for a referral slip from your primary care physician. This must be presented at the time of your appointment. Without it, we will not be able to see you. For those with Medicare, we accept assignment. This means, we accept what Medicare pays, however you are still responsible for the remaining balance under Medicare rules. For those with Medicaid, the law requires you present your authorization slip, which is renewed monthly. Without it, we will have to reschedule your appointment.

Repetitive stress and overuse injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome and tendonitis are among the most common. Your hands and wrists can also be affected by normal wear and tear on the joints resulting in arthritis which can progress to deformity and chronic pain. Our hand and upper extremity team consists of an exceptional fellowship trained hand surgeon working closely with an experienced Occupational Therapist. Many hand related injuries including work related injury, sports injury, dislocations and sprains are effectively treated with bracing and therapy and we believe in a conservative first approach.

We effectively treat a wide range of conditions including degenerative spine disease, sponylolithsthesis, scoliosis, back strain, sciatica, neck pain and radiculopathy, fragility and spine fractures. Our team focuses on non-surgical interventions first, using rehabilitation medicine and physical therapy, medical management, injection therapy and pain management. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Science and Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2014 from Touro College in New York City. While in school, Chavi developed a strong interest in the Anatomy and Splinting courses which led her to specializing in Hand Therapy. After completing upper extremity rehabilitation clinical rotations, she pursued a career in the field, in both outpatient hospital and private practice settings. In 2018, Chavi earned her credentials as a Certified Hand Therapist.
