I hired this firm after talking with them on the phone and being told they could provide the services I required. They arrived at the site, they didn't perform a smoke test, after telling me they would, wouldn't look down the chimney because of the height, (no height restriction was mentioned, three story building) asked me for some info for the additional work they were to do, which I promptly priveded and then sent me a vague email stating they wouldn't do the work? I called and left a message but never recieved a call back. Would not recommend! I have to hire another firm to do the work, start from the beginning again and have lost 2 weeks. Thanks for nothing!

We have used Duxbury Chimney Sweep for several years. They are everything you want in a service provider--professional, thorough, fairly priced, timely and clean. I don't give high ratings often but I highly recommend them for your chimney services.

Called them and found Jean very knowledgeable and she answered all questions I asked. Dan inspected and found several cracked chimney tiles caused by a chimney fire. Photos were taken and an estimate sent to my insurance carrier which was approved after their reps inspected. Duxbury Chimney crew showed up on time did a thorough job, were polite and cleaned up the debris and I was burning wood the same day. Dan kept me informed of the entire chimney liner install and answered all my questions.

This company is extremely unprofessional and I would never recommend them to anyone looking for a chimney sweep. It took them almost a month to get back to me about having my chimney swept. The woman who owns the company is a horrible business woman. They will charge you for an inspection and then never return your calls or emails. If you don't want your time or money wasted, go through another company.

...prompt, courteous, thorough and professional...I have hired other sweeps. Dan (Duxbury Chimney) is the best.I will not hire anyone else. Call Duxbury Chimney.There is a difference.

After they leave I am very comfortable knowing that I can burn safely during the winter. Also of note is they are wonderful in your home, they are polite and extremely clean in their process. Doing business with them for almost 5 years .First they installed a stove for me- had 3 bids they were the middle, 2nd time- cleaned chimney, 3rd time- installed double stainless chimney cap- They were always within the time they said, NO surprises and very reasonable price wise. Had 3 bids for the chimney cap also. 2 companies gave me a price for a single painted steel cap installed. Duxbury's price was just $15 more for a "double stainless steel " cap installed. note: the double cap is for a complete cover of 2 flues side by side, and the stainless steel does not rust out, doesn't leave rust marks down the sides of the bricks. I won't even bother to call any body else. I bought the stove in Quincy, they recommended Duxbury. I asked about installers to 3 different Fire Departments, the Duxbury name came up. They must be doing something right. If you have a problem about getting a quick appointment, it's because they do it right the first time, they are busy, it's worth the wait.
