My husband took a pair of my shoes to get an estimate for repair because the leather was separating from the sole of the shoe and "Andy" (not his real name) gave me another estimate(higher) when I returned again with the same shoe! I should have walked out, but decided to let him repair at the higher price. When I came to pick up my repaired shoe, he had glued the leather to the sole and made the shoe tighter than it was before. He placed a wooden shoe stretcher in the shoe and told me to come back in a week. The shoe is now over stretched and easily slips off my foot. My favorite shoe is ruined.

I took a pair of my favorite shoes to have the heels replaced. When I put them on, they didn't even last walking to the car.

I do NOT recommend Andy's Shoe Repair in La Verne. The man who owns the store is a new owner. I've lived in the Claremont area for 40 years and I will tell you he is bad news. I took in a pair of $350.00 Coach boots to cleaned. These boots were signature suede. He told me he could clean them, no problem. Well, when I wnt back No more signature. He had used a wire brush and removed the signature as well as sections of suede. When I disbuted his work he told me "It wasn't his fault and refused to negotiate anything. I went on to report the owner to the better business bureau. And by the way, his name isn't Andy, however he will answer to it. Don't trust anything special to you with him, he may just ruin it.
