      Dr. Lamoutte brings extensive experience and compassion to his Obstetrics and Gynecology practice, where he specializes in general obstetrics, general gynecology and robotic-assisted surgeries for cystectomies, hysterectomies and fibroid removals (myomectomies). What is your patient care philosophy? I strive to care for my patients as if they were part of my family. What would you like people to know about you as a physician? I am caring, fair and compassionate. How does your work improve lives? The treatments and procedures I perform improve the quality of my patients’ lives. When did you decide to become a physician? I knew I wanted to be a doctorsince I was ayoung child. Why did you decide to go into medicine? My brother is an Obstetrician and his wife also is an OB. Ithought about becoming a Pediatrician, but I rapidly changed my mind during Medical School whenI had the opportunity to learn about obstetrics and delivering babies. Also, I’m really good at science and math andlike knowing why and how things work. What do you enjoy most about your work? As an Obstetrician and Gynecologist, I get toexperience an exciting mix of venues: Isee patients in theoffice, Iperform surgeries and I deliver babies. It’s a little of everything. When a baby is born, I take great joy in seeing the expression on parents’ faces and how excited they are. Would you like to share about your family? I am married and have three adult children, and a Pekapoo dog who is like one of my children! Tell us a little about yourself. I was born on Christmas Day, am fluent in Spanish, andhave discovered a great place for Puerto Rican food here in Lakeland!
