- We produce 2 live shakespeare plays a year once in February (AT a ticketed venue) and once in june (free but with suggested donations). OUR summer production runs for seven nights in june AT BINNS park in downtown Lancaster. PA. It is accessible location and ALL ages are encouraged to enjoy outdoor shakespeare in this beautiful setting. We Also administer 3 camps for students during the summer. Camp will is for middle school students (rising 6TH 9TH graders). There are TWO sessions of camp will to choose from. OUR maximum enrollment in each session is 14 SO students GET plenty of personal attention. Mornings are spent in various classes: acting. Improv. Stage combat. Text. Vocal. ETC. Afternoons are spent in rehearsal for the campers' final presentation a ONE hour abridged shakespeare play (the same play being presented by the MAINSTAGE Company that summer). OUR newest camp. Fear NOT the bard. Is OUR teen shakespeare intensive acting camp for rising 10th 12TH grade students. Campers will explore both the winter and summer play and perform 2 3 scenes from each play AS well AS individual monologues from the plays. This year campers will explore the merchant of Venice and AS YOU like it. Guest artists will Also visit TEE aching various theatre forms: clowning. Improv. Voice. Movement. ETC.

- TPSP has no designated office space. Last summer we moved to Binns Park, Queen Street, in downtown Lancaster, PA for our outdoor summer Shakespeare production. We will be performing there again this year and hopefully for many years to come. Our first winter production this February 2018 will be at The Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster, PA . Was founded in 2006 to Foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the works of William shakespeare through performance and performance based instruction. TPSP believes that by developing active. Personal and relevant approaches to the material. The beauty and breadth of SHAKESPEARE’S plays and poetry will BE accessible to ALL students and audiences. Empowering NOT only their intellectual but their personal lives AS well. The people's shakespeare project believes that young students are very capable of understanding and appreciating these plays.
