Was my local favorite until they CLOSED THEIR DOORS, LOCKED with no forewarning. Didn't even notify their employees. and took a payment out of my account 2 days later for December. not answering their phone, of course. Looks like a class action suit is brewing.

No longer called Fitness USA. Now called Fitness US. I believe the owners of fitness usa may have defrauded lifetime members who bought lifetime memberships in the 6-12 months prior to being sold. Mostly because the owners of that franchise knew they were in financial hardship and sold lifetime memberships anyway. Perhaps they knew there was some question as to if they were going to close the doors and/or sell the buisiness. Now that they have sold it, all lifetime mebers have had there lifetime memberships reduced to a 1 year free membership and have been forced to pay $35 for a membership card

Lifetime members are offerfed membership deals that seem to change almost daily. $35 initiation fee plus $35 quarterly plus $35 monthly fee. Some of us former lifetime mmbrs are now on fixed incomes and cannot afford the new rated (myself included) this is why we bought lifetime memberships. I have a physical imparement and go to this spa for my own form of physical rehab for my knees. The pool & hot tub help me exersize with reduced weight on my knees. I cannot afford a membership to the YMCA. And not sure my medical coverage will cover this type of therapy. And it's easier for me to be able to go whenever I want.

Fitness USA was bought out last July. Lifetime members were given a free one year membership in the new spa. However, you have to pay $40 for their membership card. They call the former Lifetime members as freeloaders and try everything they can to get you to quit coming to the spa. They still have equipment problems that take a long time to repair. On a weekly basis, they change rules and pricing schedules. Nobody really knows what is going on or going to happen. It's all a mystery to the members.
