Lake House is a family-owned Assisted Living Facility offering Bed & Breakfast-style living, featuring 8 diverse suite floor plans at affordable prices. Cheryl and Eric Moore, mother and son, have successfully owned and operated assisted living facilities for over eighteen years. Their reputation is superb for providing quality care at affordable rates. Both Cheryl and Eric are known for their excellent communication with doctors, pharmacists, home health personnel and especially the families of their residents. A team approach is paramount to assuring the best possible quality of life for each and every resident. Selecting the right community for your loved one can be a challenging and stressful process. Unfortunately, many caregivers have to repeat the process when the facility they chose casts out their loved one due to a change in their physical or mental status. That won’t happen at Lake House! While there may be additional costs to continue care, residents are not dismissed simply because additional services are required. At Lake House, your loved one is never a liability.

24 Hour Supervision - Our well-trained staff is awake and available to meet our resident’s needs 24 hours a day in our main building. Our small memory unit will have live-in staff. Our state of the art call bell system, is also available to all residents. Assistance with Activites of Daily Living (ADL) - Whether a resident is independent with most ADLs or wheelchair bound, our staff will assist as necessary to provide showering/bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, transferring, ambulation, and assistance with medications while encouraging as much independence as possible. Medication Management - Our trained staff will provide assistance with self-administration of medications in accordance with doctors orders. Home Cooked Meals - A dietitian developed menu provides two main entrees and an alternative for the three provided meals per day. The meals are made fresh daily with an emphasis on FRESH vegetables and fruits. Snacks are available throughout the day. Water is brought to residents’ rooms by staff. Call Bell System - Our state of the art call bell system provides in-wall speakers in the bedroom and bathroom so residents can talk directly to the caregivers who carry phones on them. Whether the resident is in their room or in the hall, their wrist band or necklace will alert the staff to their location. Please talk to us for more specific details. Socialization - Lake House encourages residents to interact with others. Meals are provided in the main dining room and activities are done numerous times a day to encourage socialization. Introductions to other residents are done by staff. Daily participation is encouraged even if rejected by resident yesterday. We celebrate holidays and birthdays in a big way! We are like a close knit family! Home Health - Residents have the right to choose their home health agency. Home health is encouraged for those residents who need a registered nurse, physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, or social worker. Lake House can assist with getting orders for home health and will stay in communication with home health staff to provide the best quality care available. Physicians - The resident is not required to change physicians to become a resident at Lake House, as residents have the right to choose. However, if the resident chooses to change physicians, there are also doctors that come into Lake House and essentially make “house calls” on an as needed basis. This makes it easier on many residents and their families. Specialty doctors in wound care, podiatry, dermatology, and psychiatry frequently are also available for house calls. Pharmacy - Lake House has contracted with a pharmacy to supply physician ordered medications on a daily basis. Lake House will re-order medication as needed. However, residents and their families may provide the doctor ordered medications from the pharmacy of their choice. Other Key Features Laundry Services - Personal laundry are done independently from one another to avoid misplaced or exchanged items. Internet - The entire facility will be wired for FREE WiFi protected by a secured password only given to Lake House community members and visitors. Furniture - Furniture will be located in multiple rooms for display but are available to be used for residents use upon availability. There is no charge for furniture rental. Most rooms will have compact refrigerators, bed frames and mattresses. Small refrigerators allowed in rooms. Sorry, microwaves are NOT allowed.
