rawson neal is a dating service for telepa folks.................It is a cool hospitol but people really need to know that they are there to help out the youth or other people so they don't cause problems here and there.....

My wife is being held their against her will. From what she has told me they refuse her any kind of things to do. No music, nothing. They have over medicated her on meds which make her hardly able to speak. They will not listen to her even though they have her on the wrong medication. Everything I brought her has been refused to her even though I was told it was approved and then to her behind my back they said I was stupid for bringing anything. The staff is insensitive and uncaring. This is one of the worst hospitals in the country and needs to be reviewed.

Most of the reviews I read prior to my sister coming to Rawson-Neal were true, I doubted them for a while because she seemed to be doing fine in their care. But they released my sister out of their care with no jacket, shoes, money, and did not even notify me when she was released. The only thing she received when they let her out was a plastic bag with 1/4 of her prescription bottle full. I even flew in from a different state to try and help keep her under supervision and two days after I left they put her on the streets with nothing. Finally my family and I drove to another state to find her wondering and lost and we brought her to my home. The hospitals here said she should have never been released and wanted to keep her at the hospital and the social workers and doctors wouldn't even return my calls or my attorneys!

My son ended up there 4 times in a matter of 2 years because of him overdosing trying to take his own life and being dual diagnosed with a mental illness and a drug addiction. He almost died there in 2011. When he was transferred there from the Emergency Room they had him on an antibiotic for a sinus infection. Then when he was at Rawson Neal, they put him on two different meds. One of them was like he was on meth, his heart rate was high and he couldn't sit still and he kept telling me something felt wrong and we had to tell the nurses that he wasn't feeling right. he couldn't really eat much in there and with the meds he ended up losing so much weight and became dehydrated and was sick in there. I called to see if he was ok and one of the unit nurses lied and said he ate really well that day and my son told me he was way too sick and was vomiting and had severe diarrhea, my son told them he was so sick and needed to go to the hospital and they said he was fine. That day they called me and said "you can come pick him up". I was in shock when I got there to pick him up. His lips were purple, he was so pale and so very underweight, he was barely 100 lbs. the bones in his face were sticking out, he looked like he was dying. I was furious. They released him because they knew he was too sick. I had to take care of him for days and nurse him back to health. That place is horrific!!!! And they mix violent patients with non violent, a woman got violent and threw her shoe and it hit my son in the face and broke his glasses. They need to separate the violent patients away from the non violent.

I was a patient there and the patients have been violent, suicidal and idiotic. The restrooms/showers are unclean, the staff members do 10% of fixing the patients while the patients do 90% and the house supervisor is an incompetent liar. Believe me, the patients aren't fixing themselves at all. If I have a mental breakdown again, I swear I will never go back there, but for now I go back there for my progress. It is a stupid facility anyways, so I hope one day it will be shut down.

I died temporarily while under their care. Supervision is spotty at best while sleeping through a small glass window under security lighting on rounds. I told them they were overprescribing me medications ( I later came to find out were not yet approved for what they said they were treating me for, and after asking other patients what they were given nearly 80% of them were on the same medication, most often at lower doses than me) I had volunteered admittance while in the throes of a psychotic break after being misdiagnosed for 4 years under their outpatient care, and increasingly prescribed subsequent medications until I came to find out I was in the process of renal failure, upon which I asked for help weaning of the three prescriptions the State Drs had prescribed in the last few months of my care, I was told no, and told to shut up when I told my overseeing physician that if that was the case he was no better than a drug dealer. I do not endorse this place for patient safety or wellbeing they are a pill mill. The out patient hospital only follows up with people on medication. there are no therapies to provide for anyone not on medications. I Prayed to God and if that alone was what saved me, or my determination to survive their quack medicine and never take the full dose of what they were prescribing until I was released, which they comfortably guinea pig patients on, I may only ever know when I die, again. I am still working on my recovery of all cognitive and emotional function affected by my time there.. I started of as a working professional and a successful college student . usually my reviews get deleted. so like it while you can.

I'm glad Los Angeles City Attorney Carmen Trutanich is lunching investigation on this hospital, because they are doing psychiatric patient dumping for sure. My wife's dad Akop Mouradian was suicidal where he cut his veins in las vegas hotel, so they take him to this hospital after a month without calling my wife, this hospital put Akop Mouradian in the bus gave him 5 days of medicine and shipped him to shelter in Glendale, Ca. After his medicine was over Akop Mouradian committed suicide again and died in Glendale California.

This has to be one of the worst mental facilities in the State of Nevada. My son, 23 uses this facility unfortunately, as his own personal shelter. These people have accepted him repeatedly, which is wonderful for his safety however, why they continue over and over again doing so, medicating him temporarily, then letting him go, is beyond my comprehension. I received one phone call, upon ONE of my sons many visits to this facility, and upon his most recent visit, have not received a call back regarding my sons treatment, though I've left SEVERAL messages explaining my call. I understand HIPAA, rules and regulations very well, in lieu of my letting the Receptionist, or whomever I spoke with initially know, that I was calling to PROVIDE information on my son, as I was interested in HELPING him, not having him medicated and let go constantly! After having left more than 5-6 messages, I have still not received a call back from anyone. I don't feel that this facilities aware of what they're doing, and they're obviously not interested in HELPING these invidividuals, unless helping equates to medicating only. In my sons case, he can be helped with a long term care plan, but is not voluntarily willing to do so. Being that he is over the age of 18, I also cannot demand that he do so. It is just disturbing to me, that this facility does not appear interested in HELPING these individuals that are housed there, only in medicating. I have consistently requested a call back, so that my son can get the serious help and f/u that he needs, the next time he checks in there. No one has appeared interested in even listening to what I have to say about my own son and his behavior from my obseravation, and how this information may potentially help us pull together on getting him treated for the long term.

This place needs to educate themselves on what people with Tramatic Brain Injury need. They do not let them use the bathroom and are quick to over medicate. They have my son because he got lost in a rain storm after we just got here from New Mexico and hell I am still getting lost. Problem is my son is mute and has TBI tramatic Brain Injury. So he cannot even tell these people anything. He is so passive that he will take any drug they give him!!! They had him overdrugged and we are both terrified and cannot get any information about this place or the people who work here. I have persistantly asserted myself since the torrential rain storm last Thursday and just tonight a WEEK later got a gd phone number to a social worker. what ever happened to family support and respect!?

Taday 5/10/12 I picked my son up from the hospital. He was in there 8 days. Once we got home a 45 minute ride from the hospital,my son was giong to do his laundry. It was then we noticed he was given the wrong bag of clothes in the bag was also the other persons medical papers.I call the nurses station and the nurse had the nerve to try and blame my son. The bags that belong to patients leaving are keep behind the nurses station. Now instead of going to my grandsons baseball game I will being driving 90 min,to repair there mistake.With no remorse they asked if I could bring it right back, I had a grandson who needed to be picked up from school
