Omg this is the worst place ever to go and get work done my sister got her teeth pulled and one that was supposed to be pulled is still in her mouth her dentures are the crappiest i have ever seen in my life i can go on and on.my daughter got a tpoth filled and after that he left a nerve exsposed now she needs a root canal done. Please thank twice before hoing there.

BAD dental practice. My boyfriend, who lost his front teeth in an accident years ago, is currently in the process of attempting to get a partial denture through Birchwwod. This process started 4 MONTHS AGO. STILL NO DENTURE. Initially they began by billing him for every tiny procedure they could dream up, NEVER addressing the denture issue he saw them for. TWO months ago at his insistance they began making a partial denture. Birchwood cancels and reschedules appointments. Everytime he goes to an appointment there is NO denture. He pursues this denture because billing to his insurance is already in process, of course. They will definitely BILL YOU even though NO SERVICES are being provided. Dentists appear to come and go at this practice. Staff are totally unprofessional. I'm sick about this. Today I plan to bring Birchwood to the attention of the ADA and the BBB.

This is the worst dentist I have ever been too. X rays were overcharged, so my insurance company would not pay the full amount. I received a cleaning estimate of $1,496 which is ridiculous. After reading other reviews, I am glad I wasn't the only one not impressed with Ms. Sunshine. The Better Business Bureau should be contacted, she is getting away with overcharging people. One star does not apply.

Made an appointment because having pain in my upper tooth. When I arrived, I told receptionist that I forgot my flex card at the pharmacy. I was told this was fine. When I was called back, I was told that I would be responsible for $11.50. I explained again that my flex card was at the pharmacy and did not realize until my appointment. Manager told me that even though it is only 11.50, if she makes the exception for me and the next and the next that adventually the bill would be significant. Very rude!! I have been in the medical field for 25 years and I have never seen a patient treated in this manner. It was about money and not me as a patient. I could see if it was a significant amount! I didnt have time to go to the pharm and pick up because they had the next patient already. Unreal!!! I would have had to come back because I needed work on my teeth. Not only that 11.50 was just what I had to pay not what my insurance was paying. Very disappointing!!

I do NOT recommend using Dr. Sunshine Mullins, I had to have emergency dental work done due to a fall which resulted in a cracked tooth. I went to Birchwood Dental where I had recently had a previous cleaning done with a special they were running (red flag!!!). She took advantage of the fact that I was in pain and told me I needed to have the tooth pulled and implant placed that day. It was very painful and costly. The cost she originally told me it would be was much lower than what I was actually charged. After having issues with my teeth, and her blaming me saying I wasn't taking care of it properly (which is a lie because I was never given specific directions on how to care for it so I just used common sense), I decided to look her up. It appears that she has worked at MULTIPLE dentist offices in just a few short years. She has had an OWI, allowed employees to perform work without the proper permits, and is dishonest.



After getting a second opinion due to metal showing out of my gums, I was informed that the implant procedure was done incorrectly by Dr. Sunshine Mullins. I will now have to have it removed and done again per IU School of Dentistry. This will be yet another costly and painful procedure, days of healing (again), plus more days of missed work.



Please beware...stay away from Birchwood Dental and Dr. Sunshine Mullins. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Did a great job on my dentures... Didn't have to wait and did a great job on my surgery... I recommend this place.

Birchwood is a terrible terrible place. DONT GO HERE! They were extremely rude to me the whole time like I was some menace. The dentist didn't even ask me any questions at all about my teeth or even how I was doing. They are very unprofessional too. I was told that my fillings were going to be hundreds of dollars less than it actually was after I told them to make sure what the price would be. When the receptionist called me to confirm my appointment and I told her I wouldn't be returning she rudely told me I could have let them know before hand. Instead of just asking why. This place is a nightmare and my teeth still don't feel right after my fillings

DO NOT GO HERE! My husband said he did not like this place but being open minded my crown came off so I had to go to birchwood bc they are one of few that take my insurance they pulled my tooth I ended up with a horrible infection they did not give me antibiotics that i needed it landed me in the er. If you care about yourself or family please do not go!

Honestly they don't even deserve a one star. Our first visit there they told me my daughter had 4 cavities that needed fillings. I decided to get a second opinion at our previous dentist and they couldn't find a single one. Was going to cost me a lot of unnecessary money for nothing.

Did anyone else have trouble with their coupon that says Dental cleaning and xrays for $44.00? I got the xrays. approached to getting Flouride treatments extra $19.00. I thought the flouride treatment would come after the cleaning. I got an evaluation bill just for cleaning my teeth was $1922.00 and for my husband same but his was $2,056.00. The teeth were never cleaned and the flouride was applied over teeth with plaque. I really felt scammed. I paid for services that were not rendered. It doesn't even deserve the one star.
