I am appalled that one of your drivers got out of his truck to beat a barking dog. The dog, Buddy, was beaten in front of the children who loved him and considered him a family member. My Animal Advocacy groups will not accept that you are not going to punish the driver. I have had contact with the FBI who said he has to be charged with animal abuse. We will be calling the Sheriff of Lee County and the district attorney and demanding prosecution of your employee. This was totally avoidable. The driver should have stayed in the truck and ignored the non-threatening dog. To say he had the right to defend his truck is ludicrous and if not for the severity of the situation would be laughable. We are also prepared to take this to the media if you are not prepared to discipline or fire the employee. We think you should offer to pay the medical fees associated with the removal of Buddy's eye due to your employee's negligent and criminal behavior.
