      J. Alexander s is a contemporary American restaurant that features a range of products prepared by an in-house chef. It is a casual dining restaurant that was founded in 1971 by three local businessmen from Nashville, Tenn. The restaurant is known for its award-winning prime rib and baby back ribs, as well as desserts made from scratch. Its menu also features a variety of hardwood-grilled steaks, salmon, seafood, soups, entr es, salads, burgers and sandwiches. The restaurant maintains one of its locations in Livonia, Mich., and features a variety of architectural designs, building finishes and original artwork to provide its guests with an attractive environment. It also offers a selection of American wines that includes pinot noir, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay and champagne. Additionally, J. Alexander s sells gift cards for various occasions.
