Great experience with this place! Organized a school field trip for an early Monday morning. In addition to Polly making it super easy to reserve an early boat tour (Thank you!), the woman at the booth (I didnt catch her name) was incredibly welcoming, even at 8:30am on a Monday. Before starting our cruise, I mentioned that most of the people in our group were language learners and our naturalist on the tour, Lon, was considerate enough to speak slowly, answer a ton of questions and even taught the students a couple of new vocabulary words. Unfortunately, we didnt get to see any whales, but I dont think anyone in my group minded - we saw a ton of dolphins and some sea lions. Everyone had a great time. Id definitely come back for a recreational visit.

I was in town for a convention today and some colleagues and I were walking around and decided to go on their 45 minute tour for $15 of the harbor. It was smooth, we saw sea lions and even a pod of 2 dolphins, which we didn't expect! Interesting information about Long Beach and its sites around the harbor. We had a really nice time and had dinner after our ride. Nice views of the coast, the Queen Mary, the interesting oil rig areas, and the cargo ship waiting area as well!

Went on the 9 am whale watch tour with Harbor Breeze Cruises. I believe the name of the boat was La Pasada. I was with my wife and two teens. Im a C-7 quadriplegic in a manual wheelchair. I cannot walk at all. It was completely accessible to get onto the boat off of the dock. The interior cabin had plenty of room to roll around in. In the cabin they have a snack bar serving snacks, hot dogs, coffee and drinks. The boat had 3 bathrooms one of which was completely wheelchair accessible. I was also able to go around the back of the boat on the main deck, there was only a small lip out the door. We saw plenty of dolphins but didn't see any whales. But it was still a great 2 1/2 hours on the water. During the trip they had a naturalist that spoke about the wildlife we would see. They also gave interesting narration about the Long Beach area and the Queen Mary. Was very happy to find this wheelchair accessible whale watch cruise. and will definitely recommend to others.

Great tour, great price, great boat.

It was great. :)

The accommodations on the boat were really nice--including tables you sit around on all the decks. We sat in the back which was great when the dolphins were surfing in the wake of the boat, but not so great when a fin whale breached in front of the boat. Can't win 'em all I guess. The harbor area is pretty crowded with boats as it's a busy shipping port but other than that I have no complaints

At $35 a person (pre-ordered online price ) it's waaaaay cheaper than an equivalent tour in Monterey, which last time I checked is like $85 a person.

Harbor Breeze Cruises was the best place for celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary! From the first phone call with the cruise director Miss Jane Waters to the last detail of our anniversary, everything was handled extremely professional and courteous. The only complaint that I have is that one of the anniversary flutes was not packaged correctly and it broke:( if you are gonna take your things, make sure that they're put away carefully by the staff, otherwise you'll end up with broken pieces when you get home.I liked everything, but because of that I might consider another charter, for my daughter's upcoming quinceanera.

I have wanted to do this my entire life and it was worth the wait! I chose this cruise because they were associated with the Aquarium and a naturalist was on board. Maura was very informative about the various species of animals we saw - a sea lion, Harbor seals, 3 species of dolphins and 2 GREY WHALES!!! It was a little windy and rough out but the boat was expertly piloted so as to allow everyone to see the animals and get pics. We were held off a jetty for several minutes so that everyone could get pics of the Harbor seals basking there. We went in close enough for everyone to get a good look at them, plus pics. Maura also pointed out a perfect place for me to stand and get pics of the whales! Eric was taking lots of pics and said the crew would post them on Facebook later. He asked if I'd gotten good pics of the whales and I told him I didn't think so because my camera was so old. He said to be sure and check FB for pics. As I was leaving the boat Eric found me and gave me a beautiful pic of a breaching humpback whale that he had taken on another cruise- how kind and generous! I will definitely be going back during humpback season - can hardly wait!

My son and I went on a whale watching cruise on February 15th. Note: Traffic and parking in the structure was crazy (holiday)- Give yourself plenty of time to get there and park. Now the good news. The staff was terrific and the cruise was wonderful. We saw several whales and many dolphins. There are some alcoholic beverages and sodas and chips for sale during the cruise. There is limited interior seating (with great views) and lots of room outside for viewing. I got a great deal by booking online! Highly recommend.

After giving this place a second chance (thanks to them) we came here on my daughter's birthday. They must have recently updated their boats or have winter boats and it was a beautiful cruiser. The crew and staff all wished my daughter a Happy Birthday (she turned six) and she felt like a rock star. There was a weather advisory and the waters were jumpy and we were not able to see anything with two seasick babies and whales hiding. So the company comped all passengers. I will be going again

I took my granddaughters and they had a wonderful time. We found a whale and other marine life but the best part was spending a beautiful day on the boat in the water. By the way, the smaller boat is terrific for viewing whales. Do use this company, they are first class.

It was a great day. We saw 8 Grey Whales, 2 Humpback, and a Finn Whale. There is an expert from the aquarium who talks about the whales and answers questions. Dress warm. It was upper 70's at the dock but gets cold on the water.

I'm still freaking about the amazing day we had today! We were staying at a nearby resort and asked the concierge at the hotel to recommend at whale watching company. All her recommendations were really expensive upwards of $175 a person. We found Harborbreeze in the local magazine. We went online and booked our whale watching tour for a mere $25 a person. When we showed up today we were really pleased with how beautiful the boat was. It was brand-new. The staff was wonderfully amazing. They have a marine biologist by the name of Joe onboard narrating everything you're seeing in terms of wildlife. We were so lucky today because we saw for gray whales on their migration down south and we saw a humpback whale who preached two times. We also saw dolphins and sea lions. Make sure you dress really warm as the Seabreeze it's really chilly. This experience is totally worth the money to all your friends and family book your tours and have a blast.

We've been on a few and of course you are never guaranteed to see whales but with Harbor Breeze, you have the best chance - docents from The Aquarium of the Pacific ride along and explain what you're seeing, why it is important and what you're not seeing. I feel it's educational and interesting. Additionally, they always post great pics online too, so you can leave your camera in the waterproof bag and enjoy your time on board clean, well managed boats.

This was my first whale watching trip. The weather was beautiful if not a bit windy. Hold onto your hats. We followed some migrating cow/calf pairs for a while until the captain felt they needed a break from us. We got some good shots of them including some their tails. The many, many dolphins swimming around the boat was wonderful. Having a marine biologist on board to answer questions was great. I'm definitely coming back in the fall with my grandchildren to take the tour again

We had a great cruise on March 28 at noon. We didn't wind up seeing any whales, though we waited near where a blow had been spotted. We saw Pacific whiteside dolphins and sea lions, and the crew took us to see harbor seals along the breakwater at the end of our cruise. Beautiful day, crew was informative and kind, absolutely recommend this to anyone.

3 hour whale watching tour. Monday 21st Dec 2015. I will start with the only complaint I have and that is being told to arrive at 11.30 for boarding for a 12 tour start and not even stepping foot on the dock until 12.05. Other than this it was amazing! Clean spacious boat. Friendly knowlegdeable staff. We saw Grey Whales, Humbacks, Sealions, Dolphins, Pelicans. Multiple breaches, fin slaps and spouts. Great value for money.

The trip is a must if you live here or just visiting our awesome city. One thing to note, they do not sell cocktails, only wine and beer, so plan accordingly, a flask is a nice addition.
