General Info: Dr. Guomin Jiang joined Kumar Eye Institute in August 2019. He is a board-certified optometrist and has a particular interest in corneal and autoimmune eye diseases, such as dry eye syndrome, uveitis, and macular diseases, and has published a multitude of scientific papers on these topics. He will continue his clinical interests above at Kumar Eye Institute. He is especially interested in “Ortho K” treatment for children who are near-sighted. He worked as an ophthalmologist for 13 years in China before moving to the United States in 2005. Dr. Jiang has 10 years of research experience in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at the University of Louisville and graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in May 2019. During his time at the University of Louisville, he researched autoimmune eye disease, especially uveitis. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Shandong Eye Institute and Hospital in 1996. Dr. Jiang earned his medical degree from Shandong Medical University in 1993.
