We want to thank Dr. Nelson, Dr. McGuirt and Brandon for all the wonderful care given to our sweet Snickers for the last 16 years. They all have been wonderful. Unfortunately our little Snickers got nose cancer which progressed agressively and we had to make the very sad decision to end his little life on Saturday, July 8, 2017. Dr. McGuit and Brandon were with us until the end and they were so caring and compassionate to both my daughter and me and to Snickers. We all cried when Snickers took his last breath and it meant the world to me to see how much they truly cared about our little buddy, too. Dr. Nelson has taken care of my pets since the 1970s when he was located on Old Forest Road and then I followed him to his own office on Route 221. Animal Medical Center is the most caring and wonderful facility in our area. I have boarded my animals there as well, and they were always taken care of just like we would. Snickers was a rotten little beagle who held us all my our heart strings and he still does. We will never forget him or the love and care he received from this wonderfuly group of people. We can't thank you enough for all you did for us. Maybe in time we will want to adopt another fur baby and when we do, there will be no question as to which vets will take care of it. I have taken my dogs to Dr. Nelson for years. I first took them to the practice on Old Forest Road and now to his own practice. I have always been pleased with Dr. Nelson. He explains everything so I can understand exactly what is going on with my animal. he is always loving and caring with my dogs and he takes a lot of time with them and with me. I would never consider taking my dog, Snickers, to anyone else. We drive from Rustburg to bring our dog to Dr. Nelson and have no plans to change. We love you Dr. Nelson Donna Hamlett and Famly

Although he seems to be a bit rough around the edges i really like Dr. Nelson, he truely loves animals and is very thorough when explaining things that are going on with my pets,

Dr Nelson has treated our animals for 20+ years. He has a great bedside manner and the animals all love him. He takes time to explain to us what's going on with our pets. I would recommend him highly to anyone looking for veterinary care.

My wife and I have been using Dr. Nelson for over 10 years. We have used other Vets in the our area at times when needed but Nelson is our man.
