Madera Community Hospital, established in 1971, is a more than 100-bed freestanding, community-based hospital offering a wide range of health care services. Located in Madera, Calif., the hospital provides inpatient acute hospitalization, emergency, laboratory, radiology services, as well as operates a rural health clinic. It also provides physical, occupational and speech therapy services, and accepts various insurance plans, including Medicare and Medi-Cal. Madera Community Hospital s areas of specialization include family practice, internal medicine, cardiology, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, oncology and ophthalmology. The hospital is approved by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program and the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act program. It is also a member of the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California and the California Healthcare Association.
