Dr Roberts is by far the best gynecologist I have ever been to. I recently moved to Az and had put off finding a gynecologist because it is not my favorite thing to do. Dr Roberts picked up on my apprehension and was the most patient, understanding and thorough doctor I have ever been to. She patiently listened to my concerns and never made me feel rushed. She explained what she was doing during the thorough exam. She was proactive by making sure I had the necessary testing so she could identify any issues. Due to my family history of breast cancer (mom died from it when I was a teen) as well as other family history of cancer, she and her assistant Maria worked with my insurance company to get approval for BRAC 1/2 genetic testing to determine my risk for developing cancer. If you have a history of cancer in the family, you should ask about this option. Unfortunately, many doctors today lack the compassion and "bedside manner" patients are looking for when they visit. This is even more true in the field of gynecology. I can not say enough about her approach to patient care. I highly recommend her especially for young women experiencing the gynecologist for the first time as well as those of us who are sensitive about going.
