      Dr. McMurtry earned his medical degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his family practice residency at UT Southwestern Medical School/Methodist Hospital in Dallas and completed his sports medicine fellowship at Oklahoma University Health Science Center. Dr. McMurtry is board-certified and fellowship-trained. He has been a practicing family medicine and sports medicine physician in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 2010.
